A working platform that can be removably attached to a front portion of a utility tractor is provided in which the platform is at least horizontally adjustable, is sized to allow a user to move about on the platform, and the tractor can be controlled by a user with controls located on the platform. In addition, an automatic steering system may be included that allows the tractor to remain generally along a preselected course, such as between rows of trees or other objects. As the tractor moves down the row of an orchard, the platform can be adjusted so as to be in an appropriate position for performing work on the tree.

A preassembled water transfer pipe for use in a fire fighting system includes a generally hollow conduit member formed from a predetermined material and having each of a predetermined length and a predetermined cross sectional shape and a connection member equipped with a predetermined size connection for receiving a hose one of thereon and therein disposed at one end of said generally hollow conduit member. There is a pipe support assembly disposed at an opposed end of such generally hollow conduit member.

A mechanism for heating the head of a percussion drum includes a pair of membranes disposed in tight adjacency to each other and tautly held with respect to the annular drum wall and a wire loop electrically connected to an external source of electricity and being tightly sandwiched concentrically between the membranes for insuring heat dissipation radially outwardly and inwardly therefrom with a minimization of the heat being lost to ambient air before the primary purpose of thorough membrane heating has first been realized.
