A sous-vide cooker is disclosed. The sous-vide cooker comprises a cooking chamber, a heating system, and a housing that houses the cooking chamber and the heating system. The cooking chamber comprises a chamber body, a multi-function lid, a passive water circulator and, optionally, a rack for holding food items during the cooking process. The heating system comprises a heating unit, one or more temperature sensors, a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller, and a control panel. The PID controller is calibrated. The sous-vide cooker maintains a constant water temperature within tolerances.

A luggage case may include opposing sidewalls forming minor faces, opposing sidewalls forming major faces, and opposing end walls together forming an article defining an enclosed space. A line of separation may be formed in said minor faces and end walls. A first portion of the line of separation may extend along a first portion of opposing minor faces at a location proximate one of said opposing major faces and corresponding one of said opposing end walls positioned therebetween. A second portion of the line of separation may extend along a second portion of said opposing minor faces in a direction away from said one of said opposing major faces and towards other of said opposing major faces.

A containment () comprises an outer box () defining an inner space where a stack of individual pouches () is arranged. The individual pouches each have a pocket () containing a product, e.g. a thin-film strip (FS), and are designed to be individually removed from the stack. The outer box () comprises a closure () for preventing/allowing access to the individual pouches () and further comprises means () for interacting with the pouches () in a manner such as to allow access to the pocket () upon removing the pouch from the stack. The means () for interacting with the pouches are arranged such that upon removing a pouch () from the stack the pouch is opened along an essential part of its longitudinal extension and is completely removed from the outer box () with no residual part of the pouch () remaining in the outer box.

Personal leather goods (PLG's) such as wallets, billfolds, pocket calendars have a portion which is required to bend repeatedly. This bending causes cracking and extreme wear which adversely affects the looks of the item and reduces its useful life. Disclosed is a mechanical hinge which attaches to leather-like panels of such PLG's. The hinge includes a set of interleaving knuckles of relatively soft material which form an axial bore along the length of the hinge, the bore receiving a thin pintle made of a relatively stiff but resilient material. The pintle is shorter than the axial length of the bore and is held into the bore by end caps, either separately applied or integrally formed with the hinge leaf. The leaves of the hinge have an overall curving shape having a concave side and convex side to permit the panels to which the hinges attached to remain parallel when materials are received between them. Alternative constructions are shown, including a third panel comprising a paper binder-like spine or a body made of a series of independently attached knuckles and tubular body portions which in turn forms a second, expandable hinge-like body.

Problems arise when a traveler must quickly identify his suitcase from an array of similar suitcases, such as on a checked luggage carousel or traveling belt. Tags and labels bearing ownership information are normally not distinctive enough to help in the split second decision to grab one's own suitcase. For cases with wheels, an identification system includes a label sized to fit within the outer periphery of the circular face of the wheel and an element for attaching the label to the face of the wheel. Preferably, the attaching system includes adhesives labels for attaching to the outer face of a hubcap on the wheel. Alternatively, the hubcap may be made transparent or may have a transparent portion, and includes releasable barbed attachments for holding the hubcap and the identifying indicia positioned between the transparent hubcap and the circular face of the wheel.
