A single-package air conditioner unit may include a housing, an outdoor heat exchanger, an indoor heat exchanger, an indoor air conduit, and an internal shield. The indoor fan may be held within a fan cowl defining a cowl outlet. The indoor air conduit may be mounted to the fan cowl and extend upward from the cowl outlet to an indoor outlet defined through the housing to guide air from the indoor fan. The indoor air conduit and the fan cowl may separate at least a portion of the indoor portion from the outdoor portion. The internal shield may be disposed within the outdoor portion rearward from the indoor air conduit and the fan cowl. The internal shield may extend between an upper edge and a lower edge. The lower edge may be disposed between the downward bottom end and the cowl outlet relative to a vertical direction.

A single-package air conditioning appliance includes a housing defining an outdoor portion and an indoor portion. An outdoor heat exchanger assembly is disposed in the outdoor portion. The outdoor heat exchanger assembly includes an outdoor heat exchanger and an outdoor fan. An indoor heat exchanger assembly is disposed in the indoor portion. The indoor heat exchanger assembly includes an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor fan. A compressor is in fluid communication with the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger to circulate a refrigerant between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger. The single-package air conditioner unit also includes a make-up air module mounted on an external surface of the housing.

An air conditioning appliance includes a housing, a drain pan positioned below the housing, and a plenum which is attached to the housing and to the drain pan. The drain pan includes an upper surface in contact with the housing and a socket configured to receive a leg. The housing of the air conditioning appliance rests on the upper surface of the drain pan, such that the drain pan defines a platform which structurally supports the housing of the air conditioning appliance.

A single-package air conditioner unit may include a housing, an outdoor heat exchanger assembly, an indoor heat exchanger assembly, a compressor, and a plenum. The housing may define an outdoor portion and an indoor portion. The plenum may be attached to the housing and receivable within a wall channel defined by a structure wall. The plenum may define a primary air channel and a make-up air (MUA) inlet in fluid parallel with the primary air channel. The primary air channel may be disposed in fluid communication with the outdoor portion to permit air therebetween. The MUA inlet may be in fluid communication with the indoor portion to permit air thereto.

A filter assembly for an air conditioner unit includes a filter frame defining a plurality of attachment features for engaging a plurality of mounting features defined on an inlet frame of a cabinet of the air conditioner unit to secure the filter frame over the indoor inlet. A filter screen is attached to the filter frame for filtering a flow of air through the indoor inlet and the filter frame defines a mounting bracket for a secondary air filter.

An air conditioning appliance may have a telescoping plenum attached to a housing of the air conditioning appliance. The telescoping plenum may be receivable within a wall channel defined by a structure wall along an axial direction. The telescoping plenum may include an interior portion and an exterior portion. The interior portion may sealingly engage the housing along the axial direction in a plane perpendicular to the axial direction.

Each of the interior divider panel and the exterior divider panel is axially slidable along the other of the interior divider panel and the exterior divider panel.

An air conditioning appliance, as provided herein, may have a telescoping plenum attached to a housing of the air conditioning appliance. The telescoping plenum may be receivable within a wall channel defined by a structure wall along an axial direction. The telescoping plenum may include an interior portion and an exterior portion. The interior portion may include a duct wall and an outer flange extending radially outward from the duct wall to contact an internal surface of a structure wall. The exterior portion may include a duct wall having a flange-less outer surface to selectively pass through the wall channel along the axial direction. The exterior portion may be in slidable engagement with the interior portion to move along the axial direction.

A vent assembly of the packaged terminal air conditioner unit includes a base received within an opening of the bulkhead. The bulkhead is positioned between a plurality of projections and a frame of the vent assembly. A door of the vent assembly is pivotally mounted to the base.

A bulkhead assembly includes a bulkhead which includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall spaced apart from the first sidewall along a lateral direction, and a rear wall extending laterally between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The rear wall includes an indoor facing surface and an opposing outdoor facing surface. The bulkhead assembly further includes a vent aperture defined in the rear wall, and a vent unit. The vent unit includes a frame, a door, and a hinge rotatably connecting the door to the frame. The frame is positioned on one of the indoor facing surface or the outdoor facing surface and defines a frame aperture generally aligned with the vent aperture. The door is rotatable between an open position and a closed position.
