A redundancy system for a co-channel telecommunication system and related methods. Implementations of the redundancy system may include at least a first modulator and a second modulator having a symbol mapper coupled to a parallel bit signal. The symbol mapper may be configured to route each of a plurality of parallel bits received through the parallel bit signal to a plurality of significant bit signals. In a first implementation, a plurality of significant bit signal multiplexers may be used to switch the plurality of parallel bit signals to allow the first and second modulators to operate in either a redundant or operating mode. In a second implementation, a premapped symbol (PMSI) encoder and a PMSI decoder may be used to transmit the plurality of significant bit signals across an interface bus as a real dual-data rate (DDR) signal and an imaginary DDR signal.

Redundancy system for a telecommunication system and related methods

A burst demodulator and method of obtaining a signal of interest from many signals of interest within a composite signal. Implementations may include receiving a composite signal, centering a replica of the interfering signal relative to the composite signal, reducing the composite signal to the bandwidth of a desired signal of interest, and canceling the remaining portion of the interfering signal.

Signal filtering system and related methods

A signal filtering system for a frequency reuse system. A first implementation may include a downlink baseband signal, coupled to a downlink bandwidth filter, including a composite received signal including at least an interfering signal and a signal of interest, each having a composite bandwidth, a first bandwidth, and a second bandwidth, respectively. An uplink baseband signal may be included, coupled to an uplink bandwidth filter, having a replica of the interfering signal corresponding with the interfering signal and having an interference bandwidth. A baseband processing module may be coupled with the downlink bandwidth filter and the uplink bandwidth filter and may be configured to cancel the interfering signal from the composite received signal using the replica of the interfering signal. The downlink bandwidth filter may be configured to reduce the composite bandwidth and the uplink bandwidth filter may be configured to reduce the interference bandwidth.

A method and system for modulating and detecting high datarate symbol communications provides superior performance in channels having a fixed spectral efficiency. A quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) constellation and an optimized mapping are employed to encode/detect a communications signal and error correction is provided using high speed forward error correction techniques. A log likelihood detection scheme and/or a novel phase detector may be employed to further enhance performance.

Method and system for modulating and detecting high datarate symbol communications

In the preferred and illustrated embodiment set forth herein, a tuned nozzle cleaning system is disclosed for a variety of vehicles. The vehicle cleaning system incorporates upstanding frame members positioned to the left and the right of a vehicle driven along a guided path. The frame supports in a pivoting, sliding, bushing an elongate oscillatory header rod. The header rod is connected at its opposite end to the throw of an eccentric mechanism which imparts rotation to that end of the header rod, thereby moving in reciprocating fashion to describe a regular pattern of movement. The header rod is preferably hollow, conducting water along its length. Water is delivered from a high pressure pump with suitable detergents and is pumped to various spray nozzles along the rod. This system incorporates a water spray nozzle having a novel construction. Each nozzle is supported by a tee so that water flows through the tee and into a short tube made of resilient material. The stiffness of the tube, the length of the tube, the excitation weight on the end of the tube, the pressure of the water, and the size and placement of the orifice at the end of the tube determine the sweeping spray pattern of the tuned cleaning nozzle. When the header is oscillated, the tuned cleaning nozzles, as a function of these factors, oscillate and synchronously sweep out a controlled spray pattern. Several sets of nozzles are incorporated to distribute water under pressure for cleaning over a specified area. The frame can optionally be extended to include overhead and bottom located nozzles for cleaning of the vehicle on all sides.

Vehicle cleaning system incorporating novel nozzle apparatus

An upholstery machine for the tufting of buttons within cushions wherein a needle picks up a string loop which is attached to a lower button and is then caused to penetrate the cushion. The needle is withdrawn and the string loop secured to an upper button. A button feeding mechanism is utilized which comprises an enlarged, elongated coil spring. The coil spring supports a single lower button with its attached loop of string at each coil of the spring thereby forming a row of the button assemblies. The inner end of the coil spring is attached to a power source which is to incrementally rotate the coil spring to discharge a single button assembly from the free outer end of the coil spring at a selected instant. The discharged button assembly is to be engaged with the needle. The power source includes appropriate gearing mechanism to reverse rotation of the coil spring to facilitate the loading of the coil spring with the button assemblies.
