Systems and methods are described herein for estimating a number of remaining pages that may be printed from a printing device using a replaceable component installed in the printing device. If less than a page count threshold has been printed using the replaceable component, then one or more default values pertaining to a consumable item contained in the replaceable component are used for the estimation. After the page count threshold number of pages has been printed using the replaceable component, actual printer usage data relating to the consumable item in the replaceable component is used to derive the estimate.

Systems and methods for estimating pages remaining for a printing device component

A structure for mounting a circuit card. The structure includes a track in which the circuit card may slide and pivot. The card slides into the track and then pivots to engage electrical contacts on the body of the circuit card, rather than on the edge of the card, to mating contacts on the main circuit board in the computer, printer or other electronic device.

A spa cover support assembly is provided with a plurality of support arms having upper and lower ends with the lower ends pivotally attached to an external surface of the spa side wall for pivotal rotation of the upper ends of the support arms through an arc from a point above and adjacent to the side wall to a point away from the side wall at a point where the upper ends of the support arms are within the generally horizontal plane defined by the top surfaces of the side walls and at a distance away from the side wall wherein the center of gravity of the spa cover supported between the side wall and the upper ends of the support arms will fall between the side wall and the upper ends of the support arm assembly. A generally horizontal support bar is provided attached to the upper ends of the support arms for supporting the spa cover.

A method and apparatus are provided for de-icing an aircraft of the type having wings and fuel storage in the wings. Hot fuel is provided for fueling the aircraft. The hot fuel is at elevated temperatures which are sufficiently high enough to transfer heat from the fuel, through a fuel tank extending within the wings, and to the exterior of the wings to de-ice the aircraft. A storage tank stores the fuel, and a heater heats the fuel to elevated temperatures. An intermediate thermal transfer system having a secondary thermal fluid transfers heat from a primary power source to the fuel. Further, a substantial volume of the secondary thermal fuel may be maintained at elevated temperatures to provide a sufficient thermal reserve capacity for heating the fuel upon demand.

Method and apparatus for using hot fuels to de-ice aircraft

A label transfer device 10 having drive roller 26 and pinch roller 28 for advancing label tape 30, positioning a label attached to label tape 30 adjacent to stripping edge 24 of slidable stripping plate 18 and holding said label fixed in that position while stripping plate 18 is retracted from a first position to a second position so as to strip the label from label tape 30. Vacuum pick up head 38 is provided for attachment to the stationary label prior to the movement of stripping plate 18 so as to ensure positive attachment to prior to label stripping and thus eliminating label transfer skips.

Label transfer device and method

A trap for receiving a projectile travelling along a substantially horizontal axis of travel at high velocity includes a pair of side walls, and primary, secondary and tertiary deflecting plates. The primary plate obliquely intersects the axis of travel of the projectile to downwardly deflect the projectile or particles thereof to approximately a second axis of travel. The secondary plate obliquely intersects the second axis of travel to further downwardly deflect the projectile or particles thereof to approximately a third axis of travel. The tertiary pate obliquely intersects the third axis of travel to further downwardly deflect the projectile or particles thereof to approximately a fourth axis of travel. Each deflection shows particle velocity. A bottom surface extends below the plates so that the plates, the sides and the bottom surface define a rectangular mouth for receiving the projectile and a chamber for containing the projectile or particles thereof. In another embodiment of the invention, a second primary plate slopes upwardly in relation to the first path of travel and has a leading edge substantially vertically aligned below the primary plate leading edge and a trailing edge forward of and at or above the level of the primary plate trailing edge. The second primary plate affords a trap of significantly less depth than the trap without such a plate for traps having substantially the same size rectangular mouth. In either embodiment, a tray along the back of the trap collects the trapped projectile or particles thereof.
