A method, system, and computer program product for providing transfer and configuration of web conferencing between consumer devices includes a processor to parse one or more electronic communications on one or more computing devices associated with a user to identify web conference data. The processor may extract the web conference data in the one or more electronic communications and transmit the web conference data and the user credential data to a media device. The media device may be a smart media device and/or a digital television. The process may further receive one or more web conference user preferences and/or user credential data and transmit the one or more web conference user preferences and/or the user credential data to the media device. The processor may display the web conference on the media device according to the one or more web conference user preferences.

Providing transfer and configuration of web conferencing between consumer devices

Extensive resources can be required to stage, clean-and-screen, repair, diagnose, etc. a network device. To reduce the impact on resources, a diagnostic device is used to perform diagnostic testing or analysis of a network device, such as a set top box received at a facility. The diagnostic device connects to the network device via one or more connections to initiate a diagnostic testing and analysis. The network device sends diagnostic data to the diagnostic device which uses this data to generate a diagnostic report and/or sends this data to a network resource. The diagnostic testing or analysis is used to appropriately direct the network device, for example, for repair, redistribution, disposal, or other treatment.

An apparatus, system, method, and computer-readable recording medium transfer a media session from a companion device to a media hub device connected in a network. A swipe operation is performed on the companion device, and a scan request is transmitted from the companion device to media hub devices connected in the network. The companion device receives a response packet from each media hub device based on the scan request. Each response packet includes a media access control (MAC) address. The companion device calculates a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) indicating signal strengths of the media hub devices based on each response packet, and determines a media hub device having a strongest signal strength. A media session executing on the companion device is then transferred over IP to the media hub device having the strongest signal strength.

An exemplary method and computing device for receiving a user input and determining whether the user input is a casting action for outputting content from the client device to one or more target devices. The computing device at least one target device of the one or more target devices that is eligible to output the content and identifies content source information associated with the content to be output by the at least one identified target device. One or more content output instructions are generated for outputting the content to the at least one identified target device. The computing device sends the one or more content output instructions to the at least one identified target device over a wireless connection.

Methods, systems, and apparatus are provided to enable access to mobile and voice over IP (VoIP) telephone networks with a mobile handset. A VoIP gateway for the VoIP telephone network is provided. A cable modem allows communication between the handset and the VoIP telephone network via the VoIP gateway. A local network connects the handset to the VoIP gateway. The mobile handset determines whether it is within range of the local network. If the handset is within the range of the local network, data traffic may be routed to and from the handset via the VoIP telephone network. If the handset is outside of the range of the local network, data traffic may be routed to and from the handset via the mobile telephone network. The data traffic may comprise telephony data traffic and/or Internet protocol (IP) data traffic.

Methods, apparatus, and systems for accessing mobile and voice over IP telephone networks with a mobile handset

A home networking gateway provides an interface between an HFC network and an in-home network. Full voice and data connection between the HFC network and each device in the in-home network is provided through the interface. A translator included in the home networking gateway is utilized to provide a mapping between the communication protocols used in the in-home network and the protocols used in the HFC network, eliminating the need for the in-home network to be dependent upon the HFC-specific protocols.

The invention provides a system which monitors and controls upstream path congestion by utilizing a MAC layer protocol wherein an upstream communication cell is transmitted from a settop box to the headend. The upstream cell contains a message field and a retry count. The retry count is incremented upon failure of each attempt to communicate with the headend within the upstream path. A downstream cell from the headend to the settop terminals contains an acknowledgment field and an optional power control field. Upstream path congestion is monitored by the headend through averaging or other suitable monitoring all of the retry count field data which arrives from the network of settop terminals.

The generation and upstream transmission of voice packets in an HFC network is controlled by including a synchronization circuit in the broadband terminal interface unit. The synchronization circuit is used to generate the timing signals for the codec, DSP and host microprocessor so that as the host microprocessor receives an upstream grant, the remaining components will assemble and forward the packets in synchronization with the grant.

Several methods and subsystems are provided for aligning a workpiece as it is being loaded into a die space of a bending apparatus, and for performing sensor-based control of a robot as it moves a workpiece from one location to another within a bending apparatus environment. A backgaging mechanism is provided with finger gaging mechanisms having force sensors for sensing forces in directions perpendicular to and parallel to a die. In addition, a robot gripper sensor is provided for sensing either or both of shear forces and normal forces created by movement of a workpiece being held by the gripper. Several sensor-based control modules are disclosed, including a bend-following control module, a speed control module, a module for actively damping vibrations in a workpiece, a module for controlling active compliance/contact between a workpiece and an obstacle, a module for performing a guarded move to intentionally bring a workpiece into contact with an obstacle, and a module for detecting unintentional impacts between a workpiece and an obstacle. Several droop sensing methods and systems are also provided, including methods for performing droop sensing and compensation with the use of a vision-based droop sensor, a compound break-beam droop sensor, and a single break-beam droop sensor. In addition, an angle sensor is provided, along with a springback control method utilizing the disclosed angle sensor.

Method and apparatuses for backgaging and sensor-based control of bending operations

A fingerpad force sensor system is disclosed which is useful for detecting process variations during manufacturing processes in which a plurality of force sensors are applied to the gripper of a robot in order to monitor shear forces applied to the workpiece held by the robot during, for example, sheet-metal bending manufacturing processes. Each sensor is encapsulated in rubber pads which are secured to the gripper of the robot such that they monitor the status of the workpiece during all phases of automated bending: material acquisition, material handling, machine loading and unloading.
