A fastener system includes a bar, a knob, a bushing, and a washer. The bar extends along an axis and includes a catch at one end and a head at the other end, where the head includes an inclined face. The knob is configured to engage with the catch to prevent relative rotation between the knob and the bar and to prevent separation of the knob and the bar along the axis. The bushing is comprised of an elastomeric material that is positioned around the bar between the catch and the head, where the bushing includes a flange facing the knob. The washer is positioned around the bar between the bushing and the head, where the washer includes an inclined face that contacts the other inclined face. The coefficient of friction between the bushing and the washer is higher than the coefficient of friction between the washer and the head.

Methods are presented which include moving a self-stabilizing platform assembly with product disposed on a deck of the self-stabilizing platform assembly. The self-stabilizing platform assembly includes multiple torque-generating devices, a stability control system to control operation of the multiple torque-generating devices, and the deck to support the product being moved. The methods also include adjusting, by the stability control system, operation of one or more torque-generating devices of the multiple torque-generating devices to produce during the moving a stabilization torque within the self-stabilizing platform assembly to facilitate stabilizing the self-stabilizing platform assembly and product during moving of the self-stabilizing platform assembly and product.

Moving product using self-stabilizing platform assembly

A multi-axial catch comprises a mount and a catch body coupled to the mount. The mount affixes the catch to a frame and the catch body has a recess to position a latch head of a latch within the recess to engage the latch with the catch. The catch can include a cam to form the recess. The catch rotates around a rotation axis in response to a longitudinal motion of the latch. The catch body is coupled to the mount to allow the catch body to rotate around a pivot axis in response to a transverse motion of the latch. The catch includes an elastic coupler to position the catch in a rotational at-rest position and an elastic coupler to position the catch-body in a transverse at-rest position. The recess allows the latch head to move laterally, in response to a lateral motion of the latch, within the catch.

According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for preventing tipping of a load during transport by a vehicle is provided. The present invention may include retrieving a tipping point of the load, based on a center of gravity of the load, a speed of the vehicle, and a turning radius of the vehicle, wherein the tipping point is based on a simulation utilizing finite element analysis; and responsive to determining that the center of gravity of the load is within a threshold distance of the tipping point, taking a corrective action which may include controlling the speed or turning radius of the vehicle.

Dynamic center of gravity monitoring and tilt prevention

A shipping box includes a plurality of sides and a plurality of bladders. The sides are arranged as a rectangular solid with fixed sides and a top side. The top side includes an openable cover for access to an interior of the rectangular solid. The rectangular solid has a size determined based on dimensions of an object placed in the interior of the rectangular solid. The bladders are arranged on each of the sides and configured to be inflated as a cushioning mechanism for the object while placed in the interior of the rectangular solid. The bladders are made of a material based on a weight of the at least one object.

A mainframe door assembly for a frame is provided. The mainframe door assembly includes a door having opposed first and second sides and first and second mount assemblies. The first and second mount assemblies are configured to mount the first and second sides of the door to the frame, respectively, such that the door can occupy and move between an installed position and a loading position. In the installed position, the door is flush with the frame. In the loading position, the first mount assemblies support and the second mount assemblies permit a swinging of the door about the first side or the second mount assemblies support and the first mount assemblies permit a swinging of the door about the second side.

Product transport structures are provided which include a self-stabilizing platform assembly configured to support a product on a deck of the self-stabilizing platform assembly and to stabilize the product during moving of the self-stabilizing platform assembly and product. The self-stabilizing platform assembly includes multiple torque-generating devices and a stability control system. The multiple torque-generating devices are controllable to produce a stabilization torque within the self-stabilizing platform assembly, and the stability control system is configured to control operation of the multiple torque-generating devices. The stability control system is configured to adjust operation of one or more torque-generating devices of the multiple devices to produce the stabilization torque to facilitate stabilizing the product during moving of the self-stabilizing platform assembly and product.

The apparatus further includes a first radial segment of the first set of radial segments having a diameter greater than a second radial segment of the first set of radial segments. The apparatus further includes a first notch of the first set of radial segments separating the first radial segment and the second radial segment having a concave edge, wherein the first radial segment and the second radial segment each extend beyond the concave edge of the first notch of the first set of radial segments.

A self-locking structure includes an enclosure and a plunger assembly, where plunger assembly is movable within the enclosure in a vertical direction. An upper platform coupled to the plunger assembly, where the upper platform is configured to move in the same vertical direction as the plunger assembly. A lower platform coupled to the enclosure, where at least one isolation damper is disposed between a top surface of the lower platform and a bottom surface of the upper platform configured to compress under a load applied to a top surface of the upper platform. The plunger assembly includes a first locking finger, where the first locking finger is configured to engage with a first locking aperture of the enclosure when the at least one isolation damper is compressed under the load applied to the top surface of the upper platform.

The apparatus further includes the plurality of structural members having two or more tiers, wherein each of the two or more tiers includes at least one structural member from the plurality of structural members. The apparatus further includes a platform disposed on a first tier out of the two or more tiers of the plurality of structural members, wherein a bottom planar surface of the platform is disposed on a top planar surface of at least one structural member of the first tier, wherein each of the two or more tiers of the plurality of structural members provides sequential load support for a weight biased load disposed on the platform.

An apparatus for positioning service element interface devices is provided. A gate is affixed to a computing rack by a gate hinge that rotates on a first axis. A tray is affixed to the gate. The tray has a first side and a second side that are opposite exterior surfaces of the tray. A first display and a first keyboard are affixed to the first side. A second display and a second keyboard are affixed to the second side. The first keyboard and the first display provide a first interface that is redundant with a second interface provided by the second keyboard and the second display.

A method and incorporated assembly is provided to enhance structural integrity and prevent interface deflection in a computer rack having a midplane and capable of housing a plurality of nodes. The assembly comprises at least one structural filler book capable of being disposed above or below said midplane where any node may be disposed having geometry and material properties to resist and counteract the plugging force of said node an causing a cancellation effect. The filler book have at least two horizontal supports being connected to one another via a vertical support and a plenum an air for directing air flow. The filler book is being secured to said rack or midplane via an engagement component disposed on one of its horizontal supports. The engagement component has a complementary air duct such that when said filler book and said engagement compartment are engaged and disposed in the rack, the air duct and the plenum align to provide a tuned path of air to be delivered to electronic components plugged to said rack and midplane.

Structural support module to prevent common interface deflection

A method and incorporated automatic air blockage assembly door is provided. The assembly comprises an air blockage door secured to a frame, capable of moving from a first to a second position via a pivot block and a shaft. The movement of the door is enabled by securing the door via the pivot block to an arm mechanism. The mechanism includes a pivot member and an activation pin. The activation and deactivation of the pin causes the movement of the door.
