A circular cutting blade is configured for cutting meat when turned about a rotation axis in a predetermined cutting direction. The cutting blade has a peripheral blade edge defined between the first and second sides and a plurality of circumferentially disposed cutting knives. Each cutting knife includes first and second knife sides and an arcuate knife edge that constitutes a portion of the peripheral blade edge. Each knife edge is titled and rises, relative to the rotation axis, between a first blade-edge location corresponding to a minor blade radius and a second blade-edge location corresponding to a major blade radius such that, when the circular blade is rotating in the predetermined cutting direction and cutting a work piece, the work piece first encounters the first blade-edge location of each cutting knife before encountering the second blade-edge location of that cutting knife.

Circular cutting blade

A circular cutting blade is configured for cutting meat when turned about a rotation axis in a predetermined cutting direction. The cutting blade has a peripheral blade edge defined between the first and second sides and a plurality of circumferentially disposed cutting knives. Each cutting knife includes first and second knife sides and an arcuate knife edge that constitutes a portion of the peripheral blade edge. Each knife edge rises, relative to the rotation axis, between a first blade-edge location corresponding to a minor blade radius and a second blade-edge location corresponding to a major blade radius and further includes beveled primary and secondary knife-edge portions along which the first and second knife sides mutually converge at, respectively, a first bevel angle and a second bevel angle less acute than the first bevel angle.

A moisture and dust removing louver pack is composed of a set of pivotable louvers which can pivot between open and closed positions in an air passageway, the louvers allowing air to pass through the passageway when in the open position and having moisture and dust removing structure for air to impinge upon to remove moisture and dust from the air passing through the passageway.

A cutting apparatus having a pivotable blade holder includes a blade housing with an internal blade cavity with a blade opening to the outside of the housing. A blade holder adapted for removably retaining a cutting blade having a cutting edge is pivotally mounted within the housing for pivotal movement about a lateral pivot axis between a fully retracted position and a cutting position. The fully retracted position is such that the cutting edge of a cutting blade retained by the blade holder does not protrude through the blade opening to the outside of the blade housing. A cutting position is one in which the cutting edge of the cutting blade extends through the blade opening to the outside of the housing. A blade actuator accessible to a user from the exterior of the housing, when depressed, urges the blade holder into a cutting position while a biasing member normally biases the blade holder toward its fully retracted position. A depth adjuster controls the maximum angle by which the blade holder can be pivotally displaced from the fully retracted position in order to control the depth to which the cutting blade can cut a material.
