An in-floor, flush poke-through wiring fitting may be installed in the floor of a structure to enable the activation of power, communication, and/or data services at the fitting location. The poke-through fitting internally supports four power receptacles and a plurality of communication/data jacks. The power receptacles may be connected in a single electrical circuit, or may be connected in dual electrical circuits. The poke-through fitting will support data connectors in either a flush mount position or a recessed mounting position. An excess cover includes separate sliding covers for each of the power receptacles and communication/data jacks.

A wire protection grommet is constructed for installation in a wire pull opening in the cell of a cellular raceway. The grommet is sized for insertion through the wire pull opening and defines central passages extending through the opening. The central passage has a radiused portion defining a wire pull strain relief to prevent wires that pass through the grommet from being bent beyond a predetermined bend radius. The grommet is constructed to lockingly engage into the wire pull opening so that it is not displaced during use. The distal end of the grommet may be weighted so that the grommet correctly orients itself in the opening during installation. The grommet may also include a wire storage section around which excess wiring can be wrapped. Hooks may be provided for retaining the excess wire on the wire storage section. The grommet may include an opening or slot which extends to the central passage and which is sized to permit wires to be slid into the passage. The grommet may be configured for installation in a variety of opening sizes and shapes and at the transitions between various components of the raceway system, such as between the raceway cell and an activation box or between the raceway cell and a feeder duct.

A wire protection grommet is constructed for installation in a wire pull opening extending between a preset and the cell of a cellular raceway. The grommet includes a central opening extending between the preset and the raceway cell and which has defines a wire pull strain relief. The grommet is constructed to lockingly engage into the wire pull opening so that it is not displaced during use. The distal end of the grommet is weighted so that the grommet self-orients itself in the opening during installation. The grommet also includes a wire storage section around which excess wiring can be wrapped. Hooks are provided for retaining the excess wire on the wire storage section.

An electrical floor box providing connections to one or more in-floor service distribution systems includes lower and upper portions defining a hollow interior and a plurality of wiring compartments and conduction tunnels interconnecting the wiring compartments. The lower portion includes a base and a plurality of side walls extending upwardly from the base. The upper portion is slidably connectable to the lower portion forming the hollow interior and the wiring compartments which extend outwardly from, and open to, the hollow interior. The upper portion also includes a top opening which provides access to the hollow interior.

Shallow recessed floor box

This patent discloses a floor box for use with in-floor service distribution systems. The floor box defines wiring compartments in which connectors may be mounted and is constructed so that conductors can be routed through the floor box from one wiring compartment to another. The floor box also accepts barriers that are selectively positioned in the floor box to separate conductors in separate wiring compartments. The floor box accepts connectors of different services is constructed to facilitate assembly of connectors and mounting hardware as well as routing conductors through the floor box.
