A process for coating a refractory alloy part is provided and includes coating an area of a refractory alloy part by means of a treatment composition including a type of preceramic polymer and a solvent, and heat treating the part coated with the treatment composition. The heat treating partially converts the preceramic polymer and forms a ceramic coating obtained by conversion, the ceramic coating protecting the refractory alloy from oxidation. The treatment composition also includes active fillers to form an alloy coating on a surface of the part by solid diffusion in addition to the ceramic coating obtained by conversion, and the alloy coating generates a protective oxide layer when subjected to oxidizing conditions.

Ceramic coating for foundry core

A process for coating a part by chemical vapor diffusion is provided and includes placing a powder mixture in a chamber, immersing the part partially in the powder mixture, and applying a heat treatment to the part. The powder mixture includes a first component and a second component forming a gaseous compound during the heat treatment so as to allow deposition of the second component on the part. The part includes a metal refractory allow and the second component forms a solid diffusion alloy by solid diffusion with a metal species of the refractory metal alloy to generate a coating. The solid diffusion allow generates a passivating oxide layer when subjected to oxidizing conditions.

The invention relates to a method for recycling the electrolyte of a lithium-ion battery and a method for recycling lithium-ion batteries. The method for recycling an electrolyte of the invention is a method for recycling an electrolyte containing a lithium salt of formula LiA, where A represents an anion selected from PF, CFSO, BF, ClOand [(CFSO)]N of a Li-ion battery, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: a) optionally, treatment of the battery in order to recover the electrolyte that it contains; b) addition of water to the electrolyte; c) optionally, when step a) is carried out, filtration (F) in order to separate the liquid phase containing the electrolyte from the solid phase comprising the residues of the battery; d) addition of an additional organic solvent to the liquid phase obtained in step b) or, when step a) is carried out, after the filtration (F) of step c); e) decantation of the liquid phase obtained after step b) of adding water or step d) of adding additional organic solvent, whereby an aqueous phase containing the lithium salt and an organic phase containing the electrolyte solvents and the additional organic solvent are obtained; f) distillation of the organic phase obtained in step e) in order to separate the solvents of the electrolyte and the additional organic solvent; g) precipitation of the anion A of the lithium salt by addition of pyridine followed by filtration (F); h) addition of at least one carbonate salt and/or of at least one phosphate salt to the filtrate obtained in step g) followed by filtration (Fwhereby a lithium salt and water are obtained. The invention finds its application in the field of recycling lithium-ion batteries, and more particularly the electrolyte of such batteries.

Method for recycling the electrolyte of a Li-ion battery and method for recycling Li-ion batteries

The invention relates to a hydrometallurgical process which makes it possible to selectively recover at least one 'heavy' rare earth metal, i.e. a rare earth metal with an atomic number at least equal to 62, that is in an acidic aqueous phase resulting from the treatment of spent or scrapped permanent magnets. It also relates to a hydrometallurgical process which makes it possible to selectively recover, on the one hand, at least one heavy rare earth metal present in an acidic aqueous phase resulting from the treatment of spent or scrapped permanent magnets and, on the other hand, at least one 'light' rare earth metal, i.e. a rare earth metal with an atomic number at most equal to 61, that is also in this acidic aqueous phase. The invention has in particular an application in the recycling of rare earth metals present in spent or scrapped permanent magnets of the type Neodymium-Iron-Boron (or NdFeB) and, in particular, dysprosium, praseodymium and neodymium, and also in the recycling of samarium present in spent or scrapped permanent magnets of the type samarium-cobalt (or SmCo).

Processes for selective recovery of rare earth metals present in acidic aqueous phases resulting from the treatment of spent or scrapped permanent magnets

A isolating method including: (i) arranging material forming a magnetic phase as a demagnetised powder, having an average particle size no larger than 700 &#x3bc;m without particles not making up the magnetic phase; (ii) dissolving the powder of step (i) in an acid medium with at least one oxidising agent in the presence of hydroxide ions, at a pH strictly lower than 7; (iii) precipitating the adjacent metal element(s) in the hydroxide state by adding to the solution obtained at the end of step (ii) an effective amount of hydroxylated base; (iv) isolating the metal hydroxide precipitate formed at the end of step (iii) and, when necessary, recovering same; (v) precipitating the rare earth elements in the oxalate state in the solution without adjacent metal element(s) and obtained at the end of step (iv); and (vi) recovering the rare earths in the precipitated state of rare earth oxalate.

Method for isolating rare earths and/or adjacent metal element(s) contained in the magnetic phase of permanent magnets

The invention relates to a method for recycling lithium batteries and more particularly batteries of the Li-ion type and the electrodes of such batteries. This method for recycling lithium battery electrodes and/or lithium batteries comprises the following steps: a) grinding of said electrodes and/or of said batteries, b) dissolving the organic and/or polymeric components of said electrodes and/or of said batteries in an organic solvent, c) separating the undissolved metals present in the suspension obtained in step b), d) filtering the suspension obtained in step c) through a filter press, e) recovering the solid mass retained on the filter press in step d), and suspending this solid mass in water, f) recovering the material that sedimented or coagulated in step e), resuspending this sedimented material in water and adjusting the pH of the suspension obtained to a pH below 5, preferably below 4, g) filtering the suspension obtained in step f) on a filter press, and h) separating, on the one hand, the iron by precipitation of iron phosphates, and on the other hand the lithium by precipitation of a lithium salt. The method of the invention finds application in the field of recycling of used batteries, in particular.
