Embodiments relate to a display device that includes a control circuit, an array of light emitting diode (LED) zones, and an array of zone integrated circuits that are distributed in the display area. The zone integrated circuits may comprise integrated a LED, driver circuits, and at least one redundant driver circuit. A non-operational driver circuit is bypassed, and the LED driving responsibility is assumed by the neighboring driver circuit. The neighboring driver circuit may be another one of the driver circuits or the redundant driver circuit.

Addressing and redundancy schemes for distributed driver circuits in a display device

A display device comprises a control circuit and a plurality of LED channels coupled to a shared supply voltage. The control circuit obtains respective brightness levels for each of the LED channels and determines, based on the brightness levels, a group current level sufficient to drive all of the LED channels. The control circuit also determines respective duty cycles for each of the LED channels that will achieve the respective brightness levels when each of the LED channels are driven with the group current level. The control circuit configures driver circuits to drive the LED channels in accordance with the group current level and the respective duty cycles. The control circuit may furthermore obtain sensed channel voltages associated with each of the LED channels, and configure the shared voltage supply based on the sensed channel voltages to a voltage level sufficient to drive all of the LED channels.

A power line communication driver circuit drives a power communication line with a power line communication signal that supplies both power and control data to a plurality of electronic devices. The power line communication driver circuit includes a ramp generator that receives an input signal encoding digital data and generates a ramp signal that switches between a low non-zero ramp voltage and a high ramp voltage to encode the digital data. The power line communication driver circuit furthermore includes a buffer circuit that receives and buffers the ramp signal to generate the power line communication signal. In one application, the power line communication driver circuit may drive a group of zone integrated circuits that include driver circuits for driving respective LED zones of a display device.

Embodiments relate to a signal detector circuit suitable for a display device that detects and decodes a power line communication signal. The signal detector circuit includes an averaging circuit, a comparator, a sampling circuit, a decoder circuit, and a regulator circuit. The averaging circuit receives the power line communication signal and averages the power line communication signal over time to generate an average signal. The comparator compares the average signal to the power line communication signal and generates a comparison signal. The sampling circuit samples the comparison signal according to a sample timing of a clock signal and generates a sampled signal. The decoder circuit decodes the sampled signal and generates a decoded output signal. The regulator circuit receives the power line communication signal and generates supply voltage to power the comparator, the sampling circuit, and the decoder circuit.

An integrated LED and driver circuit includes one or more LEDs of a LED zone and one or more driver circuits integrated on a substrate in a single package with the LED and driver circuit vertically stacked over a substrate. An addressing scheme configures addresses of the driver circuits using address lines that connect between adjacent driver circuits. Control data is provided to the driver circuits via a power line communication signal that provides both a supply voltage and digital data modulated onto the supply voltage.

The method comprising acts of processing measured data sets by a learned neural network to generate a gauging result, and updating neural coefficients of the learned neural network with a reference data for more accurate prediction. The learned neural network is trained with known algorithm or known data provided by the manufacture or collected from others. The device comprises sensors and controller. The sensors are configured to sense the electronic apparatus to generate the measured data sets. The controller has the learned neural network and a error feedback unit. The neural network generates the gauging result. The error feedback unit generates a reference data sensed from the electronic apparatus to the neural network for updating neural coefficients of the neural network for more accurate prediction.
