An improved fuse associated current conducting pin and sealing structure for a hermetic terminal assembly wall wherein the sealing member has a preselected coefficient of expansion compatible with that of the pin and wall and a softening point temperature in excess of the conducting temperature of the pin surface occasioned by fuse melting.

Seal for hermetic terminal assemblies

An electrically conductive system including an apparatus and method wherein an electric current is sealingly passed through at least two spaced insulatively sealed zones with an insulatively sealed void space provided therebetween under a vacuum and serving as a discharge zone for possible inadvertent preignition brought about accidentally by outside external factors.

Igniter assembly and method

A terminal pin seal for an hermetic terminal assembly including at least two laminations one of which has the inner surface adjacent the assembly structure with electrochemical properties resistant to attack from chemical ingredients within the assembly and another of which laminations has the outer surface adjacent to ambient with electrochemical properties different from that lamination facing the assembly housing to produce a greater resistance to chemical attack from ambient.
