A device suitable for viewing and illuminating a mammary duct orifice comprising a hollow receptacle defining an interior volume and an open aperture at a distal end thereof sized to circumscribe the nipple. The open aperture preferably is surrounded by an outwardly extending flange that can be provided with an adhesive. A vacuum port suitable for connection to a vacuum source to create a vacuum in the interior volume may also be configured as part of the hollow receptacle. An illumination source is provided within the device to illuminate nipple orifices when a nipple is positioned within the hollow receptacle.

A biopsy device comprises a biopsy instrument, suitable for collecting at least one tissue sample from a body lumen, such as a mammary duct, and a cutter introducer sized for receiving the biopsy instrument and introducing the biopsy instrument into a mammary duct to retrieve a tissue sample therefrom.

Biopsy device

A biopsy device suitable for collecting cells from a mammary duct is provided. The device is suitable for conducting brushing biopsy and tissue excision procedures. The device comprises a sheath that is rotatable about a longitudinal axis. The device further comprises an endoscope disposed within and extending through the sheath. An adjustment mechanism is also operatively connected to the endoscope to longitudinally extend and retract the endoscope within the sheath.

A drug delivery apparatus for dispensing predetermined volumes of drug, drug solution or other substances into an opening, such as a TMR channel in the human heart, or other laser treated area within the human body, the apparatus consisting of a bifurcated needle with a laser inlet for guiding a laser delivery means, such as an optical fiber or fiber bundle, to adjacent a surface of the human heart or other body structure for creating an opening, such as a TMR channel, or other laser treated area thereon. A drug inlet is for receiving the drug and transmitting the drug to the TMR channel or other laser treated area. Optionally, a piercing tip and/or suction device assists in positioning the apparatus adjacent the tissue to be treated. Drug is dispensed by manually or automatically actuating a piston or syringe element. A method of use is also disclosed.
