A personal communication and data entry device comprises a portable housing, an internal controller coupled to the housing, a paging device coupled to the controller, and at least one of a voice recording device, a cellular telephone transceiver, a radio transceiver for two-way communication, and an infrared transmitter coupled to the controller.

An apparatus is configured to be located on a frame of a patient support, the frame having a top surface configured to support a patient, the top surface having a length dimension and a width dimension. The apparatus includes an overlay positioned over the frame of the patient support, the overlay having an upper surface to support the patient and a lower surface configured to abut the top surface of the patient support. The overlay has a width dimension greater than the width dimension of the top surface. A retainer maintains the overlay in a desired position on the frame.

Bariatric surface for an operating room table

A surgical lighthead includes a reflector, a lens coupled to the reflector, and a handle located adjacent the lens. The handle defines an air passage to facilitate installation of a shield over the handle. A lamp assembly includes a support and at least one bulb located on the support between the reflector and the lens. Tubes are mounted in an interior region of the lighthead between the reflector and the lens, and rods are configured to engage the support. Each rod extends through the support and into a corresponding tube. The rods include at least one threaded portion configured to secure the lamp assembly within the interior region. The rods are slidable relative to the tubes upon disengagement of the threaded portions of the rods to permit the lamp assembly to move out of the interior region of the lighthead. The rods include stops to prevent separation of the lamp assembly from the lighthead. A controller turns the bulb on and off and adjusts the intensity level of light emitted from the bulb. Spaced apart first and second displays are coupled to the controller. Each displays an indication of the intensity level of the bulb.

Controls for a surgical light apparatus

An apparatus for warming a patient includes a patient support surface having an outer cover configured to contact the patient, an electrically conductive fabric located within the cover, and a controller electrically coupled to the conductive fabric to heat the electrically conductive fabric to a selected level.

A patient support system comprises an articulated frame having a plurality of segments, a frame controller coupled to the frame to move at least one of the segments, a mattress having at least one chamber, a mattress controller coupled to the mattress to control an amount of fluid in the at least one chamber, and a user interface controller configured to send control signals to the frame controller and to the mattress controller.

A patient support apparatus includes a base, a frame coupled to the base, and a mattress supported by the frame and positioned to lie above the frame to support a patient. The mattress has at least one bladder configured to receive a medium. The apparatus also includes a power pack pivotably coupled to and supported by one of the base, the frame and the mattress and configured to supply the medium to the at least one bladder of the mattress.

A patient support apparatus comprises a base, a frame coupled to the base, and a mattress located on the frame to support a patient. The apparatus also includes a display and a controller coupled to the display. The controller is configured to provide a menu on the display of a plurality of predefined configurations of the frame and mattress, and the processor is configured to command the frame and mattress to move to a selected one of the plurality of predefined configurations based on a user input.
