A brushless electric motor which has a rotor magnet, a coil apparatus for electromagnetically driving the rotor magnet, a rotor shaft for transmitting a rotary movement, which is firmly connected to the rotor magnet and runs through a rotation axis of the rotor magnet, and at least one electromagnetic transducer element for detection of the magnetic field of the rotor magnet, in which the at least one electromagnetic transducer element is arranged outside the axial extent of the rotor magnet with respect to the rotation axis, and is arranged essentially within the maximum radial extent of the rotor magnet. The invention also relates to an instrument for a medical, in particular a dental, apparatus having a brushless electric motor such as this.

Brushless electric motor and instrument for a medical apparatus

A plug connection for fast-fit coupling of two appliances forming part of a medical handpiece system includes a first coupling fitting on one of the appliances and a second coupling fitting on the other of the appliances. The first coupling fitting has a movable locking element and the second coupling fitting has a projecting element projecting toward the first coupling fitting. The projecting element comprises an end portion of a media line or an end portion of an electrical contact and is positioned to engage a surface of an opening in the locking element to move the locking element between lock and unlock positions when the first and second coupling fittings are moved toward and away from each other.

Fast-fit coupling for connecting appliances forming part of a medical or surgical handpiece system to a supply hose

A collapsible angle piece for dental or surgical use has a head part, an elbow part detachably connected to the head part, and a handle detachably connected to the elbow part remote from the head part and having an actuating surface. The elbow part has a cage that is axially moveable between a locking position and a release position. At least one locking element is radially moveably supported in the cage, wherein the at least one locking element can be in a radially inner position or a radially outer position depending on whether the cage is in the locking position or in the release position. At least one elongate actuating member is arranged in the elbow part so as to be substantially axially moveable, wherein the at least one elongate actuating member has a first end cooperating with the cage and a second end cooperating with the actuating surface of the handle.

Angle piece for dental or surgical use

A medical handpiece, particularly a dental handpiece, for use with an internally cooled tool, wherein the tool has an axial hollow space into which the cooling fluid is conducted in an essentially radial direction through a bore of the tool shaft, and wherein the bore is arranged between two axially spaced apart sealing members which are arranged in the handpiece head and which seal the handpiece head relative to the tool shaft. The sealing surfaces of the sealing discs extend relative to the tool axis of the tool shaft essentially in a normal, conical or spherical direction.

An adjusting device for a pneumatic drive, particularly a pneumatic drive of a medical or dental instrument, for example, a handpiece or angle piece, which delivers its energy by vibration and in which the vibrations are produced by a pneumatic drive, wherein an air flow is controlled by having an air supply line and an air discharge line end at a distance from each other at a surface and by providing a counter-surface which is movable relative to the surface and, which, in dependence of its position relative to the surface, forms a flow path with a defined flow resistance between the air supply line and the air discharge line.
