Methods, systems, and/or devices for controlling media presentation at a shared media presentation system are described herein. To that end, an electronic device defines a distance-related access restriction between a media presentation system and a second electronic device. The device selects one or more access control settings for the media presentation system to be controlled by the second electronic device. The device receives a request, from the second electronic device, to control playback at the media presentation system. In accordance with a determination that the second electronic device meets the distance-related access restriction, the device provides authorization for the second electronic device to access the media presentation system using media control requests that comply with the one or more access control settings selected by the electronic device.

Methods and systems for dynamic creation of hotspots for media control

Methods, systems, and/or devices for controlling media presentation at a shared media presentation system are described herein. In one aspect, a first electronic device detects user input requesting to indicate availability of a media presentation system for use by one or more other electronic devices. In response to detecting the user input, the first electronic device transmits an indication of availability of the media presentation system for use by the one or more other electronic devices. The first electronic device also receives, from a second electronic device of the one or more other electronic devices, a request for access to the media presentation system. In response to receiving the request, the first electronic device transmits, to the second electronic device, an authentication token that allows the second electronic device to access the media presentation system through submission of media control requests that include the authentication token.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores instructions for execution by a first client device, including instructions for transmitting an indication of availability of a first media presentation system and for transmitting to a second device a first authentication token for allowing the second device to access the first media presentation system, in response to a request from the second client device. The instructions also include instructions for requesting access to a second media presentation system that a third client device has indicated as being available and for sending to a server system a media control request directed to the second media presentation system. The media control request includes a second authentication token received from the third client device to allow the first client device to access the second media presentation system.

Methods, systems, and/or devices for sharing control of media presentation systems are described herein. In one aspect, a first electronic device receives, from a second electronic device, an indication of availability of a media presentation system ('MPS') for use by the first electronic device. In accordance with detecting the indication of availability of the MPS, the first electronic device sends a request for access to the MPS. In response to sending the request for access to the MPS, the first electronic device receives, from the second electronic device, an authentication token that allows the first electronic device to access the MPS through submission of media control requests that include the authentication token. The first electronic device also sends, to a server system, a media control request that includes the authentication token and causes the server system to send a command corresponding to the media control request to the MPS.

Methods, systems, and/or devices for controlling media presentation at a shared media presentation system are described herein. In one aspect, a server system authorizes a first electronic device associated with a first user to control a media presentation system. A request to indicate availability of the media presentation system for use by one or more other electronic devices is received from a first electronic device. An authentication token for the media presentation system is sent to the first electronic device. Furthermore, a media control request including the authentication token is received from a second electronic device that is one of the one or more other electronic devices. In accordance with a determination that the authentication token permits access to the media presentation system, the server system sends a command corresponding to the media control request to the media presentation system.

A method of transmitting one or more data streams to a mobile terminal having multiple network connections, the method comprising: sending the one or more data streams from a correspondent host to a home agent located in the home network of the mobile terminal, the mobile terminal sending a request for the data stream to be transmitted by the correspondent host and the mobile terminal communicating with the home agent to transmit the network location of the mobile terminal to the home agent, and then forwarding the one or more data streams via the foreign agent to the mobile terminal. A fault management system for an access network forms part of a communications network. In the access network, terminating lines in the form of pairs of wires extend from a local switch through a series of nodes to terminal equipment provided for user of the network. Each night, the system performs a series of tests on each of the lines. The results of the tests then analyzed with respect to a set of parameters to identify characteristics that would indicate that a fault is likely to occur on the associated circuit within a predetermined period e.g. 1 year. Further analysis is then carried out to establish a score which ranks each node in the network in terms of the urgency of any preventive maintenance required.

The service supply apparatus is arranged, on the basis of signals from the resource supplier apparatus to select the route subsequent to the offer of the service.
