A recommendation system is provided, including a non-transitory memory, a processor, and a player interface. The non-transitory memory is configured to store a database including the player's playing history for a plurality of electronic gaming machines. The processor is coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to gain access to the database and execute computer-executable instructions. The computer-executable instructions include a promotions engine operable to generate a list of electronic gaming machine recommendations personalized for a player based at least on the player's playing history. The promotions engine is further operable to generate a promotion based on the list. The player interface is accessible by the player and includes a display configured to present the promotion.

Gaming tracking and recommendation system

A gaming machine is provided. The gaming machine includes a credit input mechanism, a player interface, a slot computer that executes a game, and a video slot machine interface board (VSMIB). The VSMIB includes a slot accounting system (SAS) interface coupled to the slot computer, and a processor coupled to the SAS interface and configured to collect tournament activity data for a tournament from the gaming machine in real time and to transmit the tournament activity data over a network. The VSMIB also includes a video capture circuit coupled to a first graphics processing unit (GPU) of the slot computer and configured to capture game video data from the first GPU, and a second GPU coupled to the video capture circuit and the processor, the second GPU configured to drive a display of the player interface based on the game video data and tournament content for the tournament.

A system and method of managing a gaming machine tournament, such as a slot tournament, are described that include organizing a gaming machine tournament that takes place on a set of gaming machines where each gaming machine has an interface into a tournament management system. The tournament game play parameters are configured using the tournament management system. Perks are provided to players, where the perks can be redeemed during tournament play and provide the player an advantage in the tournament play.

A recommendation system for recommending electronic gaming machines to a plurality of players is described. The recommendation system including a database holding information on each player's history with electronic gaming machines played by the player, the history including information on play time and bet size. An analytics engine analyzes the information in the database and to generate a list of player recommendations personalized for each player based on that player's history. A player interface is provided that is accessible by each player, wherein the player interface allows the player to interact with the recommendation system and to see the personalized recommendations.

The second is the &#x201c;Interface&#x201d; that determines what will be displayed on the bonus screen. The third is the &#x201c;Award&#x201d; in which the nature of the bonus payment, including the method of choosing the value to award and the required player interaction to receive the promotion, is determined. And finally, the &#x201c;Currency&#x201d; system determines the method of payment to the player for earning or receiving the promotion.

A system and method are set for providing a progressive bonus to eligible devices in a set of linked gaming machines. A server is linked to the machines and from wagers accumulates a bonus pool. Each machine has a designated bonus outcome which, if obtained, causes the system to select from a set of displays, a bonus display for the machine. The bonus display remains until another bonus outcome is obtained and another bonus display is selected or the machine falls from the set of eligible machines based upon lack of play or the like. The system periodically selects a bonus prize and compares it to the bonus pool to make sure the pool is sufficient to award the prize. If the pool is greater than or equal to the selected prize, the system selects a winning bonus corresponding to a bonus display of the set and awards the prize to any eligible machine displaying the selected bonus display.
