A base member attached to a supporting surface has an open top cavity in the general shape of a shoe and a base assembly housing, which is attached to the lower end of a rigid pedestal which supports an apparatus at its upper end, is foot shaped in part to nestle in the base member shoe area. A manually operable securing device releasably secures the housing snugly in the base member so that the pedestal is readily attached and removed as necessary.

A reversible seat comprising a backrest, a seat bottom, two guide bars, and two corresponding backrest support assemblies. The guide bars are attached to and disposed on either side of said seat bottom and are disposed on the outside of a base assembly of the seat bottom. The backrest is attached to and disposed between the backrest support assemblies. The backrest support assemblies include a plurality of spindles and a spindle carrier. The spindles of each assembly are in rotational communication with their respective guide bar, providing a sliding engagement. The backrest is pivotably engaged with the backrest assemblies so that it can be adjusted depending on the seating position. The backrest assemblies translate longitudinally across guide bars to provide a plurality of seating positions. The backrest assemblies may also include locking members that engage the base assembly of the seat bottom for securing the backrest in place during use.

A mechanism for stabilizing a slidably adjustable boat accessory such as a boat seat or table including a first rigid plate member adapted for attachment to the underside of a boat accessory, a second rigid plate member adapted for attachment to a support surface with the first plate member having two elongate opposite side edges curved underside forming parallel tracks and the second plate member having two elongate opposite side edges slidably engaging corresponding respective tracks of the first plate member for slidably moving the first plate member along the tracks for slidably adjusting the location of an attached boat accessory with at least one of the opposing side edges of the second plate member beveled at least in part, a wedge shaped member engaged with the second plate member resting in part on the bevel, while adjustably moving the wedge shaped member along the bevel such that the wedge shaped member is moved laterally in its associated track.

For removably coupling a boat apparatus, such as a boat seat or table, to a boat deck, a base plate having a clamping slot is attached to the boat deck and the boat seat or table or the like is supported by a base assembly having a clamping bolt. The base assembly is placed over the base plate with the clamping bolt engaged in the clamping slot and a manually operable member on the base assembly is manually operated to releasably clamp the bolt securely in place in the associated slot.

For removably coupling a boat apparatus, such as a boat table or seat, to a boat deck, a base plate having an arcuate or curved clamping slot is attached to the boat deck and the table or the like is securely coupled to a base assembly having a downward extending clamping device. The base assembly is placed on the base plate with the clamping device engaged in the clamping slot and the base assembly is then twisted or turned so that the clamping device slides to the end of the slot and a member on the base assembly is then manually operated to releasably clamp the clamping device securely in place in the associated slot.

A bracket is attachable to the side of a boat or dock and a latch is removably coupled to said bracket. The latch is pivotally attached to the upper end of a boat ladder so that the ladder can swing and can be adjustably angled with respect to the dock or boat when it is latched onto the bracket.

A bracket is attachable to the top surface of a rigid support platform, such as a boat deck or dock, and a latch member is removably coupled to the bracket at about one end of the latch member and extends out beyond the edge of the platform and the latch member has a pivot pin at its outer end for pivotably engaging a boarding ladder.

A boat seat is rotatably supported on a hollow, tubular, deck-mounted support post or column by a yoke or spider. A radially movable locking plate is biased by a spring member to rotatably lock the yoke in place and a lever arm can be operated to move the locking plate in opposition to the force of the spring member out of locking engagement to permit the seat to be rotatably adjusted.

A boat ladder has a rigid I-beam support with steps pivotally attached for making the ladder compact, with the ladder pivotally engaged with a compartment in the boat hull for storing the ladder when not in use.

An active deck suspension system for use in marine vessels having a hull and an operator deck. A custom chassis includes pneumatic cylinders which absorb impact forces acting upon the boat hull or suspension deck, and also includes auxiliary emergency jacks. The chassis includes an upper support member which is affixed to the suspension deck, and a lower base support which is complementary to, and mates with, the bottom of the hull. The suspension deck will deflect, in a controlled manner, upon the boat encountering impact forces created by rough seas, or the like. The system includes control circuitry and constantly monitors the suspension deck to automatically compensate for load forces, and thereby provides a substantially improved occupant ride.

Active deck suspension system

A ladder which is particularly useful as a boat ladder is constructed with a pair of centrally located side-by-side elongated support members which are movable lengthwise, to a limited degree, with respect to one another. The ladder rungs are pivotally attached to the support members such that when one support member is moved lengthwise the rungs are swung to extend outward from the support members for use as a stepping ladder and swung inward to be in line with the support members to make the ladder compact for storage. The ladder is pivotably engageable with a storage compartment in a boat hull for swinging the ladder downward for use from an opening in the compartment and upward in line with the opening for insertion into the compartment for storage.

A vertically adjustable pedestal for a boat accessory such as a table or seat is made up of a pair of telescoped tubular members having opposite facing lengthwise recesses which contain rods to allow one member to adjustably slide with respect to the other yet preventing rotation. A releasable locking device holds the adjusted member at its desired elevation.

A boat seat is mounted on two sets of slidably engaged members for slidably adjusting the location of the boat seat front and back with a locking mechanism for holding the seat at its adjusted location comprising a locking pin for engaging detent holes controlled by a lever arm extending out the front of and below the boat seat.
