In some examples, the technology can include receiving a domain name of a second computing system; obtaining domain name system (DNS) records for the received domain name; determining an email hosting provider for the second computing system; determining, by the processor, based on the obtained DNS records, an email system service type of the source email system on the second computing system; discovering mailboxes and message delivery rules of the source email system; displaying customization options for migrating discovered source email system mailboxes; migrating data items from the source email system to the destination email system; and managing migration of data from source email system client computing devices to the destination email system.

A device with rotatable footpads for use with interactivity systems and method for same are disclosed. The apparatus may comprise a stanchion for supporting two footpads, wherein the two footpads rotate on an axis passing through the stanchion; a plurality of sensors that detect the rotation of each footpad; and a controller transmitting signals from the plurality of sensors representing the rotation of each footpad to a virtual reality system. The method for using the apparatus may comprise stabilizing footpads by a mechanical means detecting the rotation of the footpads on an axis passing through the footpads via sensors of the footpads that detect rotation of the footpads; and transmitting a digital representation of the rotation of the footpads to a interactivity system.

Systems and methods are provided for automatically configuring an email client during a migration process. An client-side assistant can be deployed to an end-user's computer via a migration platform. After being deployed to a particular client computer, the client-side assistant can be configured to obtain user information to identify the end-user associated with the client computer. After identifying the end-user, destination system information regarding the end-user can be pushed to client computer for inclusion in new configuration information for the email client. Before generating the new configuration information, user credential for logging into the source system can be obtained. The client-side assistant can be configured to cause the destination system to confirm this credential. After generating the new configuration information, the client-side assistant can instruct the client-side assistant to use the new configuration information to at a specific time and date.

A device with rotatable footpads for locomotion simulation in a virtual reality environment and method for same are disclosed. The apparatus comprises; a stanchion for supporting two footpads, wherein the two footpads rotate on an axis passing through the stanchion; a plurality of sensors that detect the rotation of each footpad; and a controller transmitting signals from the plurality of sensors representing the rotation of each footpad to a virtual reality system. The method for using the apparatus comprises: stabilizing footpads of a virtual reality locomotion apparatus using motors controlled by a locomotion controller; detecting the rotation of the footpads on an axis passing through the footpads via sensors of the footpads that detect rotation of the footpads; and transmitting a digital representation of the rotation of the footpads to a virtual reality system.

A method for providing information services to a wireless device roaming in a wireless system is disclosed. Normal network message traffic information is obtained from a wireless system. The normal network message traffic information is transmitted to a protocol converter. In the protocol converter, roamer information is extracted from the normal network message traffic information and converted into a protocol analyzer format. A query is transmitted to a Mobile Switching Center requesting information regarding the wireless device's serving cell or location. Information regarding the wireless device's serving cell or location is received and combined with the converted roamer information to form a roamer trigger. The roamer trigger is transmitted to protocol analyzer. In the protocol analyzer, specific information pieces regarding the wireless device are extracted. The extracted specific information pieces are transmitted to a data interpreter for translation and delivery to a wireless device.

System and method for providing information services to cellular roamers

The teachings of the present invention are directed to disposable wireless messaging devices, computer systems that incorporate disposable wireless messaging devices, and methods of operating the same. An exemplary disposable wireless messaging device includes a housing, a transceiver, a power supply and a messaging controller. The housing is capable of enveloping at least a portion of the messaging controller, and, the transceiver and the power supply. The transceiver is associated with the housing and the messaging controller, and capable of transmitting and receiving signals wirelessly. The messaging controller operates to extract wireless messages from the wirelessly received signals and to communicate the wireless messages to a user of the wireless messaging device. The messaging controller is capable of (i) monitoring use of the disposable wireless messaging device in relation to a utilization threshold and (ii) in response, inhibiting, the operation of at least a portion of the messaging controller.

Disposable wireless messaging devices and systems and methods related to same

There is disclosed a message tracking system for use in a wireless massaging system. The message tracking system allows a caller to verify a status of wireless messages previously sent by the caller to one or more subscribers of the wireless massaging system. The message tracking system comprises 1) an I/O interface that receives a message status request from the caller and 2) a message status controller that determines an identity of the caller from identification data received from the caller and retrieves a data record associated with the caller. The data record contains status information associated with the previously transmitted wireless messages. The message tracking system transfers to the caller selected status data associated with at least one of the previously transmitted wireless messages. The caller may check the status of multiple previously transmitted wireless messages in a single call without having to re-enter the caller's ID information.

System and method for tracking wireless messages originating from a single user

A method and apparatus for controlling message delivery to wireless receiver devices can be used for example to condense textual messages intended for a wireless receiver device by abbreviating various words in the message. Thus, a first message addressed to a wireless receiver device (20) is received and stored in a storage medium (14). The received message is then translated into a second message using a pre-defined dictionary associated with the wireless receiver device. The second message is then sent to the wireless receiver device. Thus, the wireless receiver device receives shorter messages conveying the same information as the original message that was to be sent to the wireless receiver device. The translating feature can also be used to code messages or translate messages into a different language.

Method and apparatus for controlling message delivery to wireless

A wireless messaging system (10) is provided that comprises a wireless message distribution system (12) which receives wireless messages from telephones (14), computer message entry program (16) or telephone-assisted service terminals (18). The wireless messages are sent through a radio frequency transmission (20) to users (22). In addition, the wireless messages are replicated and sent to a wireless message gateway server (24). The wireless message gateway server (24) assembles electronic mail messages including the wireless message and transmits the electronic mail messages to electronic mail networks (26), (28), or (30) such that the user (22) may access his wireless messages through his electronic mailbox within a customer electronic mail system (32).
