System () for mitigating co-site interference includes a co-site filter bank () containing filters () which can be optionally selectively inserted in an antenna input/output path () of two or more transceivers (). A control system () receives information concerning the transceivers. Based on the information, the control system determines whether optional RF filtering should be used to limit RF signals which are communicated to or from the transceivers so as to mitigate co-site interference.

Co-located frequency management and mitigation

A communication network may be uncooperative with an uncooperative communications device. The communication network includes mobile wireless communications devices including a collection device and forward devices. Each forward device is configured to detect a received signal characteristic associated with the uncooperative communications device, and transmit the received signal characteristic to the collection device. The collection device is configured to selectively schedule reception of the received signal characteristic based upon a timing of communications among the forward devices, and determine a parameter associated with the uncooperative communications device based upon the received signal characteristic.

Communication network for detecting uncooperative communications device and related methods

A power management system is provided for a software-defined radio. The power management system includes: an antenna; a regulated power supply; a power amplifier; and a digital signal processor. A software-implemented power supply calculator and power supply adjustor are operable within the digital signal processor. The power supply calculator receives an indicator of a type of waveform to be transmitted by the radio and determines the drain voltage for the power amplifier based on the waveform indicator. The power supply adjustor receives forward power and reflected power values from the antenna and computes a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR). The power supply adjustor further computes an adjustment for the drain voltage based on the VSWR.
