A corrosion coupon rack includes one or more coupon mounting devices constructed of a coupon holder receiver including a handle recess of a given diameter and an end wall, a connection conduit in communication with the handle recess through an opening in the end wall and axially aligned therewith, and locking means having open and closed positions, the locking means including a cam surface extending into the handle recess when the locking means is in the closed position; and a coupon holder including a handle insertable into the handle recess, the handle having inner and outer ends, a locking recess, and a shaft axially aligned with the handle, the shaft having a proximal end attached to the handle inner end, and a distal end adapted to releasibly attach a corrosion coupon, the shaft extending through the T-connection and into the pipe.

Dental cements and abrasives are provided which are polymerizable with visible light. Such adhesives may be applied in thinner films than heretofore possible and demonstrate superior physical properties. Processes employing such materials are disclosed wherein the polymerization of the adhesive is accomplished by transmitting visible light through tooth or other structures to effect the adhesion.

Dental cements and adhesives are provided which are polymerizable with visible light. Such adhesives may be applied in thinner films than heretofore possible and demonstrate superior physical properties. Processes employing such materials are disclosed wherein the polymerization of the adhesive is accomplished by transmitting visible light through tooth or other structures to effect the adhesion.

Novel compositions, especially light curable compositions, are provided which are coherent, but frangible when cured. Preferred compositions comprising a major proportion of inert, preferably inorganic filler material, polymerizable resin and frangibility enhancing material are provided which are light curable. The materials are particularly useful for 'temporary' dental fillings and removable endodontic fillings. The cured materials are easily dissected, comminuted and removed as desired after curing without trauma to the filled teeth.

Frangible light cured compositions

The present invention is directed to a method for developing a bond having a shear strength in excess of 1200 psi between dental cements and dental appliances fashioned from glass-ceramic materials. The inventive method consists of contacting the fitting surface of the appliance with an etchant in flowable gel form at a temperature below about 150.degree. F., while protecting the exterior surface of the appliance. Subsequently, a silane solution followed by a dental cement is applied to the etched surface and cured in place.

Novel processes for the restoration of teeth particularly posterior teeth, wherein the use of a matrix band is required, are provided employing one component, packable, actinic light curable, resin-based restorative compositions. Such methods are now capable, for the time, of employing resin-based restoratives in the posterior restoration of teeth wherein the packability of the restorative composition enable the deformation of a matrix to allow substantial restoration of the original conformation of the tooth. Packable one component actinic light curable resin-based restorative compositions are provided.
