A peroxide product is provided. The peroxide product includes a package having a headspace, a substrate disposed within the package, and a thin layer of a composition having a peroxide active and a polyol, wherein the thin layer is disposed adjacent the substrate. The peroxide product also includes at least one means for increasing the stability of the peroxide active of the composition. The thin layer of the composition has at least about 43% of its original concentration of the peroxide active at twelve months after manufacture when stored at about 25&#xb0; C. and in the absence of light.

Structures and compositions increasing the stability of peroxide actives

The present invention relates to oral compositions containing cranberries or parts of cranberries, such as cranberry extract, or a mixture of such materials and other antibacterial/antimicrobial agents. The invention also relates to methods of treating plaque/gingivitis and other periodontal diseases as well as dental calculus and caries.

Oral compositions

The present invention relates to oral compositions, such as dentifrices, toothpastes and mouthwashes, which provide an anticalculus benefit. These compositions comprise a safe and effective amount of an anticalculus agent which is a polyepoxysuccinic acid, or its pharmaceutically-acceptable salts, along with a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier. The present invention also relates to a method for inhibiting or reducing the development of dental calculus by contacting the oral cavity with a safe and effective amount of an anticalculus agent which is a polyepoxysuccinic acid, or its pharmaceutically-acceptable salt.

Oral compositions and method for reducing dental calculus

Tartrate monosuccinate and tartrate disuccinate compounds of the formulas HO(CHCOOX)CH(COOX)OCH(COOX)CH.sub.2 COOX and CH.sub.2 (COOX)CH-(COOX)O(CH[COOX]).sub.2 OCH(COOX)CH.sub.2 COOX are used to provide anticalculus benefits on teeth. Oral care composition such as dentifrices, mouthwashes, and the like, are provided. Use of the tartrate-succinates in combination with other oral care ingredients such as fluoride, pyrophosphate and antibactrials is also described.

Anticalculus compositions using tartrate-succinates

Methods for reducing calculus are disclosed utilizing oral compositions containing stannous ions complexed with certain carboxylic acids or polyhydric alcohols.

Disclosed are oral compositions which are effective against calculus and contain a chelating agent which is an acrylic acid polymer or copolymer or EDTA, a strontium ion source, a fluoride ion source and a pyrophosphate ion source.

Anticalculus compositions

The present invention relates to oral compositions, such as dentrifices, toothpastes and mounthwashes, which provide an anticalculus benefit. Oral compositions and methods for reducing dental calculus

Oral compositions containing as an anticalculus agent an acrylic acid polymer or copolymer having a mass average molecular weight of from about 3500 to about 7500 are described herein.

Calcium 1-hydroxy-3-aminopropane-1,1-diphosphonate forms a gel when mixed with water. As compared to soluble salts of APD, the gel provides slow systemic release and reduced tissue damage when used in the treatment of certain disorders in warm blooded animals.
