A pump for exchange of fluid between an apparatus reservoir and a reserve reservoir. The pump may have an elongated tubular body with a central bore with a reservoir end portion, an inlet end portion and an intermediate barrel portion. A piston assembly with a driving piston with a stem member with nonmagnetic properties attached and the stem member has a tubular extension member attached with all in longitudinal axis alignment slidably positioned in the central bore to position the driving piston adjacent to an electromagnetic coil assembly that is positioned around the intermediate barrel portion and to position the tubular extension member for a reservoir end to extend outwardly at the reservoir end portion opening. An output tubular member with a pressure relief valve is attached to an output port in a side wall of the reservoir end portion positioned for release of fluid through an output port.

Dual displacement fluid level control pump

A method for constructing a concrete structure with light sources embedded therein is provided. An array of light sources with associated circuitry is positioned on a support member. A mold is positioned around the light sources and the associated circuitry on the support member. A binder material is filled in the mold containing the light sources and the associated circuitry on the support member to embed the light sources and the associated circuitry within the binder material. The binder material is allowed to set within the mold containing the embedded light sources and the associated circuitry. The mold and the support member are then removed to obtain the concrete structure embedded with the light sources and the associated circuitry. The embedded light sources illuminate the concrete structure when the embedded light sources are powered on. A decorative upper layer may be created by marbling, veining, etc., in the concrete structure.

A laser flashlight employs an emitter disposed within a housing for emitting a coherent light beam having a gaussian spatial profile along an optical axis toward the exit face of the housing. An optical system disposed within the housing intermediate the emitter and the exit face of the housing includes a laser element pumped by the emitter, a frequency/wavelength converter, and a resonator, to form the coherent light into a laser beam. A beam expander receives the laser beam, disperses the laser beam, and transmits the dispersed laser beam from the light emitting end of the housing into the ambient environment.

Low overbased alkaline earth metal alkylaryl sulfonate having a Total Base Number of from about 2 to about 30, a dialkylate content of 0% to about 25% and a monoalkylate content of about 75% to about 90% or more, wherein the alkylaryl moiety is alkyltoluene or alkylbenzene in which the alkyl group is a C -C branched chain alkyl group derived from a propylene oligomer are useful as lubricating oil additives.

Mixture of alkyl phenyl sulfonates of alkaline earth metals having: (a) from 20% to 70% by weight of a linear mono alkyl phenyl sulfonate in which the linear mono alkyl substituent contains from 14 to 40 carbon atoms, preferably from 20 to 24 carbon atoms, and the mole % of the phenyl sulfonate radical fixed on position 1 or 2 of the linear alkyl chain is between 10% and 25%, preferably between 13% and 20%, and (b) from 30% to 80% by weight of a branched mono alkyl phenyl sulfonate in which the branched mono alkyl substituent contains from 14 to 18 carbon atoms.

A bulk storage and distribution system for cooking oils. The system includes an apparatus and method to store and distribute cooling oil in an aseptic environment. The system includes a bulk storage tank, an oil inlet structure, an inert gas supply and an oil distribution structure having a dispensing nozzle. An inventory monitoring system and oil removal system are incorporated into the cooking oil storage and distribution system.

An additive useful in a marine lubricating oil is produced by reacting at elevated temperatures in the presence of at least one light hydrocarbon solvent and promoter: an alkyl oxy aromatic sulfonate; an alkaline earth metal base; carbon dioxide; and an acid component, such as carboxylic acid, an acid anhydride, an acid choride, or ester thereof. If the alkyl oxy aromatic sulfonate is in the acidic form, then the acid component is in the acidic form. If the alkyl oxy aromatic sulfonate is in the neutralized form, then the acid component is in the neutralized form. If the alkyl oxy aromatic sulfonate is in the overbased form, then the acid component is either in the acidic form or in the neutralized form.

A mud mixing system 10 includes a cylindrical hopper 12 having at least one upper conduit 14 with adjustable means 18 controlling a jet 16 into a vortex chamber defined between cylinders 62 and 64. At least one second conduit 20 with adjustable means 24 controlling a jet 22 emanating therefrom which is used to fill tank 12 from the bottom portion up with fresh water and/or drilling mud to shear means 30 which include a pair of vertical shafts 32 and 34, each having attached thereto at their lower portion generally horizontally extending pin shear members 36 and 38 vertically spaced apart a distance D to obtain effective shear. A table 40 to hold mud additives includes a fence 42, and a cylindrical spout 44 is used to add mud additives to hopper 12. Shafts 32 and 34 extend through chamber 66 and bearing assemblies 50 and 52 and are driven by a suitable power source 54 which may be an electric motor or combustion engine. A discharge 70 comprising a cylindrical conduit located in an opening 74 in bottom plate 76 is located inwardly from hopper wall 12 a distance sufficient to prevent unmixed, heavy portions of the mud from discharging. In the vortex 60, the heavy ends of the mud go to the outside and the light, mixed ends go to the inside of the hopper, and are discharged through the outlet after being thoroughly mixed. The gaseous material is discharged through opening 66 inside cylinder 64.

This invention is directed to neutral and low overbased alkylphenoxy sulfonates having a dialkyl content sufficient to provide an essentially neutral alkylphenoxy sulfonate having a viscosity no greater than about 1000 cSt at a temperature of 100.degree. C. in the presence of 40 weight percent diluent oil.

This invention is directed to neutral and low overbased alkylphenoxy sulfonates derived from alkylphenols prepared by alkylating phenol with an acidic alkylation catalyst having a Hammett (H.sub.o) acidity function of about -2.3 or less (more negative).
