The described system and apparatus facilitate the identification, on a per rate center (Npa Nxx) basis, of a best carrier rate center for a wireless subscriber, and also allow detection of errors in a provider's local inventory or in performance reference data. In one aspect, carrier performance data is combined with updated available inventory data via a SIT environment to create a correlated array of rate centers relative to service record and orderable carrier rate center inventory. The described system thus provides improved ordering and forecasting compared to existing systems, and can thus also provide enhanced customer satisfaction and a decrease in customer calls for HFC number change.

The described principles provide a method and system for enabling a telematic operator to determine that an outbound call has been placed to a non-telematic mobile directory number by the telematic operator in error. In one aspect, the invention allows the telematic operator to create an identification of all non-telematic MDN's stored by the wireless carrier which the telematic operator continues to believe are active and are associated with a pending transaction. Improved synchronization of records between the wireless carrier and telematic operator is provided to minimize incidents involving transactional differences between MDN values stored by the wireless carrier and telematic operator when an assigned MDN is processed in error between the two entities. The use of unique modem telephone numbers by the telematic operator allows identification of the affected MDN (by the telematic operator) while providing the customer data privacy needed for the wireless carrier.

An electronically actuated turning device for transport apparatus, which apparatus use endless belts for transport, which detects the presence of products being transported such as paper folders, activates a solenoid to cause an upper swivel ball to contact the product and engage a lower swivel ball, which grips and stops the product, and allows the product to rotate 90 degrees, and then releases the product, which product is then transported in the original direction by the apparatus for further operations as required.

A glue head mounting bracket for glue applying folding machines is disclosed which holds a glue head for dispensing glue onto a sheet of paper that is to be folded and secured at the glue lines, which bracket permits the glue head to be placed at a predetermined location and the glue head swiveled out of the way for non-glue application. The bracket is of two piece fixed and demountable construction with the glue head carried in the demountable bracket piece, so that the glue head can be moved for cleaning and repair or replacement, and the glue head placed back into service without changing the location of the glue line.

A universal roller for glue applying folding machines is disclosed which engages paper sheets to be advanced for folding, and which sheets have had one or more lines of glue applied thereto, which roller includes a plurality of spaceable segmented roller elements, detachably secured to a metal shaft, which elements, have an outer surface for engagement with said paper sheets.
