A light source includes a first LED to provide light of a first light wavelength spectrum along a first light path; a second LED to provide light of a second light wavelength spectrum along a second light path; a dichroic filter for passing light emitted from at least one of the first LED and the second LED and reflecting light emitted from at least one of the first LED and the second LED; an optical filter movable between a first position in which the optical filter receives light from the first light path and a second position of which the optical filter does not receive light from the first light path; a light output; a controller which is capable of switching the light source between a first mode for providing a first light to the light output and a second mode for providing a second light to the light output.

Multiple imaging modality light source

A patient support includes a conformable layer having a lattice of cells. Each cell having a base and extending to a top portion disposed opposite the base to form a column, and at least some of the cells within the lattice having a fluid passage extending from the base through the top portion of the cell. The patient support having a fluid flow path defined by a port connector configured to direct a fluid to a low air loss manifold, the low air loss manifold configured to direct and release the fluid towards the fluid passages of the conformable layer with the fluid passages configured to direct the fluid into a reduced zone having a surface area, and a spacer layer configured to receive the fluid in the reduced zone and disperse the fluid underneath a cover across a surface area larger than the surface area of the reduced zone.

Patient support

A method for generating light from a medical light source includes emitting light in a visible wavelength spectrum from a first light of the medical light source, emitting light in a first infrared spectrum from a first light emitter of a second light, redirecting light emitted from the first light emitter by at least one optical element of the second light, emitting light in a second infrared spectrum from a second light emitter of the second light, and redirecting the light emitted from the second light emitter by the at least one optical element of the second light.

A light source for medical or surgical procedures is provided which can provide at least three different imaging modes. Modular light engines are also provided which may be interchangeable within a light source system for increased imaging capability. Methods of using such light sources and modular light engines are also provided.

An encapsulant fluid is provided comprising a mixture of a diene-containing compound and a dienophilic compound. At least one of the diene-containing and the dienophilic compounds is protected so that the compounds do not substantially react with each other at room temperature. The diene-containing and the dienophilic compounds undergo a reversible Diels-Alder polymerization reaction at a polymerization temperature above room temperature to form a solid debondable polymeric encapsulant. Also provided are methods for forming slider assemblies and methods for patterning a slider surface using the encapsulant.

The invention relates generally to the bonding of one or more sliders in styrene and butadiene polymers. More particularly, the invention relates to planarized slider assemblies formed by using debondable solid encapsulants comprised of styrene and butadiene polymers. The invention also relates to methods that use such encapsulants in conjunction with resists to produce magnetic head sliders having patterned air-bearing surfaces.

A process for fabricating sliders where the sliders are held in place during processing by a solid matrix material is described. A thin coating of a release-layer material is applied on the sliders before encapsulation in the matrix material. The release-layer material is polyvinyl alcohol and more preferably high molecular weight polyvinyl alcohol which is highly hydrolyzed. Use of the release-layer of the invention maintains the process resistance while providing the advantage of allowing easier removal of the matrix material after it is no longer needed. The release-layer can be applied to encapsulant materials including epoxies, acrylates, polyimides, silsesquioxanes and others. After the selected fabrication process such as the formation of air-bearing features an appropriate solvent is applied to soften the polyvinyl alcohol film and allow clean debonding of the sliders.

A system having an array of nozzles is used to clean fabricated rows of magnetic heads. Each nozzle contains a pair of concentric tubes. The inner tube of the nozzle discharges a plume of fine dry material at a target. The outer tube of the nozzle simultaneously discharges a hollow tube of water that completely surrounds the plume discharged by the inner tube. This nozzle design prevents the dry material from mixing with the water during discharge so that the plumes remain dry until they strike the target with the tubes of water. As the nozzles pass over various portions of the target, the plumes remove most forms of process contamination, while the water serves multiple purposes. The leading stream of water in front of each plume loosens some contaminants and moistens the target prior to contact by the dry material. In addition, the trailing streams of water flush the target and removes any remaining contamination left behind after the plumes pass by. The tube of water for each nozzle also reduces dry powder overspray or dust and provides ESD protection for the target. A final rinse with a set of fan nozzles removes any residual contamination and/or cleaning media.
