A method and system includes a first vehicle radio generating a first communication signal for a second vehicle radio and communicating the first communication signal through the first radio system of a first vehicle. The first vehicle radio communicating the first signal though a cellular system to the second vehicle radio when a response signal is not received from the second vehicle radio.

Vehicle-to-vehicle communication system

A method and system includes a first radio generating a beacon signal. The beacon signal has group beacon data for a group comprising a plurality of radios and the first radio. The first radio transmits the beacon signal during a beacon timeslot of a frame. The frame has a plurality of timeslots. A second radio outside the group receives the beacon signal, identifies a first timeslot that is unused based on the group beacon data and communicates data from the second radio to the group during the first timeslot.

A method and system includes a first radio establishing a group of radios that has a first plurality of radios and the first radio and a second radio not within the group. The first radio generates a first communication signal. The first communication signal includes a first radio identifier and first position data. The first radio receives the first communication signal, determines second position data of the first radio and compares the first position data and the second position data to obtain a distance. The first radio or the second radio broadcasts the first radio identifier and the first position data to the group when the distance is within a predetermined distance in response to comparing.

Method and system for forming a distanced-based group in a vehicle to vehicle communication system

Embodiments provide a method comprising receiving a halftone image, the halftone image comprising a plurality of pixels, each pixel of the plurality of pixels including pixel data associated with a plurality of color planes; forming a pixel group, the pixel group including (i) a target pixel and (ii) one or more pixels that are neighboring to the target pixel; generating a pixel window for the pixel group; comparing the pixel window with a plurality of candidate patterns; determining that the pixel window matches with at least one of the plurality of candidate patterns; and based on determining that the pixel window matches with at least one of the plurality of candidate patterns, performing an image processing operation on the pixel group.

Embodiments provide a method comprising receiving a continuous tone (contone) image, wherein each pixel of a plurality of pixels of the contone image comprises pixel data associated with a plurality of color planes; forming a pixel group that includes a target pixel and one or more pixels that are neighboring to the target pixel; for each pixel in the pixel group and for each of one or more color planes of the plurality of color planes, comparing pixel data of the corresponding pixel for the corresponding color plane with one or more threshold levels to generate threshold pixel data; generating one or more color plane pixel windows for the pixel group corresponding to the one or more color planes; and generating a pixel window for the pixel group.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method comprising processing a first pixel of a continuous tone image to generate a first error, the first error representative of a difference between an input level and an output level associated with the first pixel; and in response to processing the first pixel, assigning a random error to a second pixel that is neighboring the first pixel, wherein the assigned random error is independent of the first error. A printhead is provided with a data receiver and a data driver, each of which is coupled to a common data pad. The printhead is also provided with a clock pad and a data bus. Means for shifting data between the data receiver and the data driver shifts data in accordance with strobe signals received over the clock pad. Additional means transfers data from the shifting means to the data bus, and yet further means transfers data from the data bus to the shifting means.

System and method for controlling firing operations of an inkjet printhead

A printer has a print head with multiple nozzles and an encoder to encode print head data into firing bits used to determine various firing patterns of the print head nozzles. A decoder is integrated on the print head to decode the firing bits into firing pulses used to fire selected print head nozzles. The encoder encodes the print head data in such a manner that there are fewer firing bits than there are possible firings controlled by the firing bits. For instance, the encoder encodes the print head data such that 'n' firing bits define 2.sup.n firing levels (where 'n' is an integer), with each firing level defining a different number of firings. With the multi-level encoding, the encoder is able to control more than n possible firings with each n firing bits.

A system and method is described for replenishing the ink in ink reservoirs of the printhead cartridges on ink-jet printers. The ink-jet printer includes a replenishing station to which the pen carriage can be moved whenever ink in one of the cartridge ink reservoirs becomes exhausted or nears exhaustion. At the replenishing station, a plurality of container holders serve to receive and hold one or more ink supply containers, which are sealed packages or cans containing an appropriate quantity of ink for refilling the ink reservoir without overfill. A container of the correct ink color is positioned in the appropriate holder where it rests on a hydraulic coupling device which is urged upwardly to a decoupled position by a spring. Downward pressure exerted on the container, preferably by the user closing the replenishing station cover, forces the container downwardly onto a cutting blade or other perforating device which breaks the seal on the container. Further downward pressure presses the coupling device onto the printhead cartridge completing a hydraulic connection from the interior of the container through the coupling to the cartridge. The downward pressure on the container causes ink to flow under pressure from the cartridge container through the coupling to the refill port and into the cartridge. The ink container is designed to crush almost to zero volume, so that all the ink flows into the cartridge. Once refilling is completed, the cover is raised, decoupling the hydraulic connection and allowing the user to remove the crushed container. The system eliminates the need to remove the cartridge from the printer for refilling and also eliminates all contact with the ink.

Ink replenishing system and method for ink-jet printers

A printer featuring an optical data link between the printer's controller and its reciprocal, carriage-mounted printhead is described. Print data are conveyed from the controller to the printhead via a fixed point on the edge of the carriage and status data may be conveyed in the reverse direction. Power is supplied to the printhead via dual parallel rails on which the carriage is supported for reciprocation by the chassis-mounted carriage drive motor. Preferably, the optical medium is infrared light, and uses conventional driver/receiver devices.

Digital integrated circuit testable input/output pad logic includes modified output driver logic and a latch for storing a test bit provided externally at the I/O pad terminal. The output driver logic selects either the normal pad output signal (O) for output during normal operation, or the stored test bit (S) or its complement (S') for output during a test operation. The output driver logic and latch are controlled by control logic signals (DP,SP,NDN,LS,NLS,NSN) derived from common tri-state (NTR) and latch (NTM) test signals provided externally at dedicated test pins (NTR,NTM). The control logic signals are provided over a bus to all similar testable I/O pads for testing all testable I/O pads within the IC under control of the two test signals.
