The invention relates to a method for the treatment and utilization of waste liquor containing at least polyester degradation products and originating from an alkaline pulping process for the extraction of cellulose raw material from blended textile waste which contains at least a cellulose component and a polyester component. In order to make the method environmentally friendlier and more resource-efficient, it is proposed that the method comprises the following steps: the evaporation of water from the waste liquor in order to precipitate the polyester degradation product from the waste liquor and to obtain a two-phase mixture having an aqueous phase and a solid phase including the polyester degradation product, b) the separation of the solid phase from the liquid phase, and c) the thermal/energetic utilization of the solid phase.

Method for the utilization of constituents from blended textile wastes

A method for providing a treated cellulose-comprising starting material (), in particular a starting material for forming a, in particular regenerated, cellulosic molded body () is described. The method comprises: i) supplying a cellulose-comprising starting material () which comprises cellulosic fibers, and treating () the cellulose-comprising starting material (), to obtain the treated cellulose-comprising starting material (), such that the cellulose fibers of the treated cellulose-comprising starting material () comprises a predetermined fiber length distribution. A method for manufacturing a cellulosic paper material () is described. The method comprises: i) providing () used textiles as starting material (), wherein the used textiles comprise cellulose and non-cellulosic foreign matters (in particular synthetic plastics and/or metal oxides), ii) at least partially depleting () the non-cellulosic foreign matters from the cellulose, to provide a depleted starting material (), and iii) forming () the cellulosic paper material () from the depleted starting material (). Furthermore, a cellulosic paper material () made of recycled used textiles and a use of used textiles for providing a cellulosic paper material () are described.

A method of manufacturing a molded body which comprises cellulose, wherein the method comprises: i) providing a starting material which comprises cellulose and elastane, in particular wherein the elastane in the starting material is present separated from the cellulose, wherein the starting material is a solid body, and ii) generating the molded body which comprises cellulose, in particular by a lyocell-method or a viscose-method, on basis of the starting material, such that the regenerated cellulosic molded body comprises at least a part of the elastane of the starting material. The part of the elastane of the starting material is incorporated in the regenerated cellulosic molded body. What is shown is a method for the recovery of raw materials from blended textile wastes, which includes the following steps in the given order: a) providing blended textile waste that includes at least a cellulose component and at least a polyester component, b) treating the blended textile waste in an aqueous treatment solution in order to depolymerize the polyester component and dissolve it in the treatment solution, c) separating the cellulose component from the treatment solution and recovering a cellulose raw material, d) filtering the treatment solution in order to remove foreign substances, particularly dyes and metal ions, from the treatment solution, and e) precipitating terephthalic acid from the treatment solution, separating the precipitated terephthalic acid, and recovering a terephthalic-acid-including polyester raw material. In order to, within the scope of the mentioned method, enable the recovery of raw materials with an increased level of purity, it is proposed that filtering the treatment solution in step d) should at least comprise a filtration by an adsorbent filter medium.

A process () for separating a fibrous target component () from textile waste () is shown, said textile waste () containing the target component () and at least one ancillary component (), whereby the target component () consists of water-swellable textile fibers () with a density higher than the density of water, the process () comprising the steps: a) dispersing the comminuted textile waste () in an aqueous solution () to obtain a suspension () containing the textile waste (), and b) separating the dispersed textile waste () into a high-density target fraction () comprising the target component (), and a low-density residual fraction () comprising the at least one ancillary component (), according to the respective density of said components (). In order to provide a reliable, fast process for the separation of water-swellable fibers from other textile fibers which are similar in density, it is proposed, that the aqueous solution () is an alkaline aqueous solution () and the target component fibers () are swelled in the alkaline aqueous solution () prior to step b), thereby increasing the density and weight of said target component () relative to the density and weight of the ancillary component ().
