A hydraulic cylinder may include a cylindrical tube, a piston head with a piston rod disposed within the cylindrical tube, a cylinder head secured in one tube end of the cylindrical tuba and having the piston rod extending through a piston rod opening, and a cylinder cap with a cap sealing portion inserted in the opposite tube end of the cylindrical tube. The tube end is crimped down onto the cap sealing portion so that a tube material of the cylindrical tube is disposed within the plurality of annular cap grooves in the cap seal portion to retain the cylinder cap. The cylinder head may have a similar plurality of annular head grooves, with the corresponding tube end being crimped down onto the cylinder head.

A drilling drive system is provided. The drilling drive system has a mast having a longitudinal axis and a surface extending along the longitudinal axis. A bar is fixed to the surface of the mast and extends along the longitudinal axis. A plurality of rungs is disposed along the length of the bar, and a floating chain is disposed around the mast. A drive sprocket has a plurality of teeth that engage the plurality of rungs and the floating chain.

A system is disclosed for measuring a feature of a component. The system may have a probe with a tip, and a sensing element configured to generate signals associated with a proximity of the tip to the feature. The system may also have an actuator configured to move the probe relative to the component, and a controller in communication with the sensing element and the actuator. The controller may be configured to generate a deviation report based on the signals, and to filter information from the deviation report according to wavelength into a plurality of deviation categories corresponding to specification requirements of the component. The plurality of deviation categories may include at least a waviness category. The controller may also be configured to determine a change to a process used to fabricate the component based on the information from the deviation report filtered into the waviness category.

A system and method is provided for measuring a physical parameter of a gear. The system and method includes moving a contact probe into a start position on the pitch circle of the gear in a gap between adjacent teeth. The contact probe is moved in a path substantially along the pitch circle of the gear until the contact probe contacts the flank of one of the adjacent gear teeth at a contact point. Spatial coordinates of the contact point are determined. A measurement of a physical parameter of the gear is determined based on the spatial coordinates of the contact point.

System and method for gear measurement

A system is disclosed for use in measuring a component. The system may have a probe configured to generate signals associated with a proximity to actual target points of the component, an actuator configured to move the probe relative to the component, and a controller in communication with the probe and the actuator. The controller may be configured to receive coordinates of intended form target points, to determine coordinates of the actual target points of the component relative to a component datum based on the signals, and to make a comparison of the coordinates of the intended form target points and the coordinates of the actual target points. The controller may also be configured to generate a deviation report based on the comparison, and to filter information from the deviation report according to wavelength into a plurality of deviation categories corresponding to component specification requirements of the component.
