Described is, among other things, a method and an apparatus for control of a cooling device. The cooling device comprise a circuit in which a refrigerant fluid is circulated in a fluid path where the circuit comprises a compressor and a condenser provided down streams the compressor. A fluid expansion device is provided down streams the condenser and an evaporator is provided between the fluid expansion device and the compressor. The circuit further comprises a valve provided in the fluid path between the condenser and the fluid expansion device. The method comprises to during an on-cycle of the compressor controlling the valve opening to provide a variable fluid mass flow of the refrigerant fluid circulated in the circuit where the valve opening is controlled to decrease during the on-cycle of the compressor.

Control method for a cooling device

A refrigerator apparatus having a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator, and a valve interconnected in the flow from the condenser to the evaporator. The valve is operatively controlled to a first, open, state and to a second, closed, state by a controller. The controller is configured to the valve to operate in accordance with at least one of: opening the valve a time period of 0-180 seconds before the compressor is switched to an on-phase; and closing the valve before the compressor is switched to an off-phase.

An in-line drink dispensing system () for dispensing liquid such as water or other beverage. The system comprises a pump () in fluid connection with the system so that the pump can create a flow in the system and based on the current that the pump uses during operation a value can be determined and used for analyzing one or more statuses of the system.

Provided herein are a household appliance and a method for using a heat pump in a household appliance, which may include a household appliance for washing and drying goods. The household appliance may include a processing chamber for receiving goods to be washed and dried, and a heat pump having a warm side provided with a condenser and a cold side provided with an evaporator, wherein the condenser may be adapted to heat water to be used in the processing chamber and the evaporator may be adapted to cool a liquid in a heat reservoir for storing heat generated on the cold side of the heat pump during heating of the condenser. The condenser may be arranged in a water tank adapted to provide water to the processing chamber.

The invention relates to a beverage cooler having an in-line operating cooling unit for instant cooling of beverage flowing through the same, comprising a cooling container () having an inlet () and an outlet (), for feeding the beverage to and from the cooling container, respectively, and a cooling tube () located inside the cooling container. The cooling container () is adapted to be located in an ambient temperature which is above the freezing point for the beverage, wherein the cooling tube () is adapted to carry a cooling fluid having a temperature below the freezing point of the beverage and is located such that the beverage can pass between the cooling tube and an outer wall of the cooling container (). Hence, the beverage will pass by the cooling tube and be cooled from it and freeze to solid phase in the area closest to the cooling tube, whereas the outside of the cooling container, having a temperature above the freezing point of the beverage, will ensure a free passage of non-frozen beverage closest to the outside wall of the cooling container.
