A vacuum cleaner including a dirty air inlet, a fluid flow path extending from the dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet, a fluid flow motor positioned in the fluid flow path, and a filter assembly positioned in the fluid flow path. The filter assembly including a first cylindrical filter and a second cylindrical filter nested within and removable from the first cylindrical filter. An inner diameter of the first cylindrical filter is smaller than an outer diameter of the second cylindrical filter such that the second cylindrical filter is compressed in order to be nested within the first cylindrical filter.

A handheld vacuum cleaner including a fluid flow path, a main body including a handle, a fluid flow motor positioned in the fluid flow path, a dirt collection region, and a cyclone chamber in the fluid flow path. The cyclone chamber includes a first end wall, a second end wall, a sidewall extending along a cyclone axis, a cyclone dirt outlet formed in the sidewall, a cyclone dirty fluid inlet, and a cyclone clean fluid outlet. A duct extends between the cyclone dirt outlet and the dirt collection region. The duct includes an upstream wall and a downstream flow-diverting wall forming a downstream boundary of the cyclone dirt outlet. The duct widens between the upstream wall and the downstream flow-diverting wall in a downstream direction away from the cyclone dirt outlet.

A handheld vacuum cleaner including a fluid flow path, a main body, a fluid flow motor, a battery, and a cyclone chamber. The fluid flow path extends from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet, and the main body includes a handle. The fluid flow motor is positioned in the fluid flow path. The battery is positioned below the fluid flow motor. The cyclone chamber is in the fluid flow path transverse to the dirty air inlet. A handheld vacuum cleaner that includes a fluid flow motor is positioned in a main body along a fluid flow path and defines a motor axis. A premotor filter is disposed in the main body and includes an annular filter media forming a filter axis. The annular filter media includes a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal filter surface extending between the first end and second end. The annular filter media surrounds a filter air passageway along the filter axis and upstream of the fluid flow motor. A debris separator is upstream of the premotor filter in the fluid flow path and defines a debris separator axis. The filter axis is generally parallel to the motor axis.

A vacuum cleaner including a debris separator having a cyclonic separator including a cylindrical wall having a first end and a second end, the cylindrical wall located in within the housing, the cyclonic separator further including a dirty air inlet, a clean air outlet, an end wall at the first end of the cylindrical wall, and a debris outlet adjacent the second end of the cylindrical wall. The debris separator further includes a lid coupled to an upper end of the housing, a debris collection chamber located within the housing and in fluid communication with the debris outlet of the cyclonic separator, and a door coupled to a lower end of the housing to empty the debris collection chamber through the lower end of the housing. A portion of the cyclonic separator is removable from the housing through the lower end of the housing.
