The antenna assembly is circularly polarized and may be able to receive multiple independent signals. The antenna assembly includes a plurality of electrically conductive layers arranged about an axis to define a series of adjacent corner reflectors (e.g. four to eight corner reflectors), and a plurality of spiral antenna elements. Each spiral antenna element extends across a respective open end of a corresponding corner reflector. Each corner reflector may have an equal corner angle, and each spiral antenna element may be a bifilar spiral antenna element and/or a log spiral antenna element. A housing may contain the corner reflectors and the spiral antenna elements. Electronic circuitry may be coupled to the plurality of spiral antenna elements and contained within the housing. The antenna is preferential for television reception on multiple channels and directions without consumer adjustment, as the antenna provides spatial, angular and frequency diversity through simultaneous overlapping beams.

A system () and method of the present invention encodes information into a video signal by substituting luminance information within the video signal with a modulated frame of content data on one or more lines of the active portion of the video signal to provide an additional information channel on the video signal. A modulation and video synchronization circuit () converts content data into at least one modulated frame of content data having video synchronization information. An interleaver () is operatively connected to the modulation and video synchronization circuit () and interleaves the modulated frame of content data within at least one selected line of the video signal.

System and method for encoding information into a video signal

A supplemental audio content system may include a storage device for storing supplemental audio content, a time tagger cooperating with a clock for generating time tagged identification data based upon identification data from the motion picture film during playing thereof, and a synchronizer for synchronizing playing of the supplemental audio content with playing of a motion picture film and based upon the time tagged identification data. The supplemental audio content may supplement the primary or main movie soundtrack. The supplemental audio content may include spoken words and be devoid of music or sound effects. For example, the supplemental audio content may comprise alternate language audio content, or may comprise descriptive narrative audio content, such as to assist the sight impaired.
