Devices and methods for treating a target site in a body lumen are provided. A medical device includes a stent-like structure including a plurality of scoring and non-scoring filaments interwoven with one another. Generally, the stent-like structure will have more non-scoring filaments than scoring filaments to provide greater structural support and to focus the scoring forces on only a few select areas. The stent-like structure is expanded within the target site to score the target site and to provide temporary structural support while the target site is infused with a therapeutic agent. Such therapeutic agent infusion occurs with the use of a drug eluting or drug coated balloon disposed within the stent-like structure or by occluding the target site and introducing a drug into the occluded target site to sit for a period of time.

Temporary vascular scaffold and scoring device

A device, system, and method for relaxing jaw muscles of a user. The device has a tooth engaging portion which operates by stretching the users jaw in the open position, thereby simulating a yawn. The device may be optimized to be used as a dental tool having a suction end. The system may include a computer program having stored or downloaded guided meditation programs, soothing sounds, inspirational messages, or similar. The system may also include a reminder that reminds the user to perform the task via a smart device. Further, the device may be used as a method of preventing or treating migraine headaches by relieving stress and relaxing the user.

System and method of oral treatment and relieving stress

Devices and methods are described for delivering aneurysm stabilizing substances that may act in more than one pathway to the aneurysmal wall to prevent further enlargement of an aneurysm while allowing blood flow through the treatment area. Methods, devices and features for removal of the delivery device after the treatment are also disclosed.

Methods and systems for aneurysm stabilization and treatment

A system for facial remodeling, including a device and methods of use, is provided. The system combines a topical composition configured to restore elastin, hyaluronan, or both to the skin and subcutaneous soft tissues of the face and neck with a facial mask to support and, in some embodiment, compress the tissue, to enhance and preserve the tissue remodeling effects of the composition. Some versions of the facial mask device include a means for electrically grounding the skin and soft tissues of the face, neck, and head, wherein the user receives local tissue benefits of 'earthing.' In some versions, the facial mask is formed by combining different elements and configurations to compress skin and underlying soft tissue, bias areas of skin and soft tissue in a cranial direction, and ground the face, head, and neck tissues.

System, device and method of facial remodeling

An example of recovery catheter assembly comprises an actuator element and a mechanically radially expandable and contractible recovery device operably connected to the actuator element. The recovery device has proximal and distal blocking portions and a central portion therebetween. The recovery device is at least partially placeable in a first, radially collapsed configuration and in a second, radially expanded configuration by manipulation of the actuator element. When in the second, radially expanded configuration, the proximal and distal blocking portions have radial dimensions greater than the radial dimension of the central portion thereby at least partially defining a collection chamber at the central portion.

Recovery catheter assembly

Methods for localizing a biopsy site are disclosed. The method includes taking a tissue sample from a biopsy site and positioning a detectable, bioabsorbable element at the biopsy site at the time that the tissue sample was taken. The tissue sample is then tested. The biopsy site is then relocated by finding the bioabsorbable element. The bioabsorbable element may be made of collagen, gelatin, cellulose, polylactic acid, and/or polyglycolic acid. The detectable bioabsorbable element may be relocated using ultrasound or mammography. The bioabsorbable element may also swell upon contact with body fluid.

Biopsy localization method and device

A surgical needle having notches in a sidewall with enhanced ultrasound reflectivity is disclosed. Indentations, ridges, projections, overhanging edges, and other structures are formed in the notches to retain small amounts of air or other reflective material as the surgical needle is passed through tissue. The additional amounts of reflective material retained by these structures will significantly enhance the ultrasound reflectivity and enhance the response to ultrasonic probing to provide an enhanced image during needle placement in a medical patient so that the needle may be accurately placed as desired. Alternatively or additionally, the notches are filled with a substance that contains air bubbles suspended in the substance wherein the suspended air bubbles provide the reflectivity enhancement. In both embodiments, the needle will be visible at any angle in which the device is used in a medical patient.

A recovery device assembly comprises an actuator element and a mechanically radially expandable and contractible recovery device operably connected to the actuator element is provided. The recovery device has proximal and distal toroidal balloon blocking elements and a central portion between the blocking elements. The recovery device is at least partially placeable in a first, radially collapsed configuration and in a second, radially expanded configuration by manipulation of the actuator element. When in the second, radially expanded configuration, the proximal and distal blocking elements have radial dimensions greater than the radial dimension of the central portion thereby at least partially defining a collection chamber at the central portion. Also provided are methods of isolating an organ and recovering blood from an organ that use the recovery device assembly provided.

The apparatus according to various embodiments operates as an inferior vena cava filter, a clot puller, a clot shredder, and as a prosthetic venous valve.

A device for helping maintain a mouth of a patient in an open position during a dental procedure may include a tooth engaging portion including at least one groove for accepting at least one lower tooth of the patient's lower jaw, an extension portion that extends away from the tooth engaging portion, and a handle that extends down from the extension portion and ends in a caudal end. The caudal end of the handle and the groove of the tooth engaging portion lie along a longitudinal axis drawn through a center of the groove.
