A modular motor vehicle architecture is provided for motor vehicles of different motor vehicle types, in each case having at least one drive machine and at least one energy storage unit paired with the at least one drive machine. The at least one energy storage unit is received in a modularly designed underfloor energy storage unit assembly that has a plurality of energy storage unit modules, at least one outer dimension of which is standardized. Each vehicle type is paired with one underfloor energy storage unit assembly from a plurality of standardized underfloor energy storage unit assemblies. And, each underfloor energy storage unit assembly has a plurality of unit module installation areas, a longitudinal dimension of which extending in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle is standardized and each of which is designed to receive at least one respective standardized energy storage unit module.

Modular motor vehicle architecture

A group of motor vehicles contains at least vehicles of two different vehicle types of the following vehicle types: a battery drive vehicle with only one electric motor drive, a hybrid drive vehicle with an electric motor drive and an internal combustion engine drive, a fuel cell drive vehicle with a fuel cell drive, and an internal combustion engine drive vehicle with only one internal combustion engine drive. All of the vehicle types of the group of motor vehicles have a base assembly with a left-side sill structure, a right-side sill structure, an upper base, a lower base, and a central tunnel structure.

Group of motor vehicles with a battery drive vehicle and/or a hybrid drive vehicle and/or a fuel cell drive vehicle and/or an internal combustion engine drive vehicle

A battery cell module for an electrically drivable motor vehicle has a bottom side and a top side. The battery cell module includes a support structure for battery cells and battery cells supported by the support structure. The battery cell module has at least one pressure element, which can be loaded on the bottom side and relocated relative to the support structure in order to transfer a load, in the case of limited load input into the support structure, from the bottom side to the top side. An electrically drivable motor vehicle has a bottom-side structure and a top-side structure. The bottom-side structure and the top-side structure delimit a receiving chamber for battery cell modules. The motor vehicle has at least one such battery cell module. The pressure element is supportable on the bottom-side structure and on the top-side structure in order to transfer a load, in the case of limited load input into the support structure, from the bottom side to the top side.

Battery cell module and motor vehicle

A method is provided for charging a battery-operated vehicle having a chargeable traction energy store and a system for autonomously guiding the vehicle with a charging vehicle having an energy generator and/or an energy store. The method forms at least one electrical coupling between the battery-operated vehicle and the charging vehicle via an autonomous driving manoeuver of the battery-operated vehicle and/or the charging vehicle. A charging of the traction energy store of the battery-operated vehicle occurs via the energy generator and/or the energy store of the charging vehicle during the driving of the paired battery-operated vehicle and charging vehicle.

Method for charging a battery-operated vehicle

A method for integrating a high-voltage accumulator having at least one accumulator module into a support structure of a motor vehicle, wherein the following is performed: providing a housing part, which has a base plate and a frame-like edge extending around the base plate; arranging the at least one accumulator module on the housing part and/or on the support structure; arranging the edge of the housing part below and on a frame structure formed of supports of the support structure; and fastening the housing part to the support structure. An accumulator housing for the at least one accumulator module is thus formed. A housing interior of the accumulator housing is delimited by a bottom part of the support structure, which bottom part covers the frame structure toward a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle, and by the housing part and the frame structure.

Method for integrating a high-voltage accumulator into a support structure of a motor vehicle, and motor vehicle

A mounting device is provided for oscillatingly mounting a range extender, which consists of an internal combustion engine and a generator, on a body and/or a chassis of a motor vehicle by way of vibration-damping elements. At least two of the vibration-damping elements are integrated in load-carrying bearings and one additional one is integrated in a supporting bearing for supporting moments. The mounting device is characterized in that the vibration-damping elements of the mounting device at least for the load-carrying bearings are secured to the range extender, i.e. a first vibration-damping element is secured to the internal combustion engine and a second vibration-damping element is secured to the generator.

A method and apparatus for controlling the elevation of a vehicle body in the event of a collision includes devices for sensing information concerning objects approaching the vehicle. Sensed information may include, for example, the relative speed, distance and contour of the approaching object. Based on this information, a control unit determines whether a collision is likely. If so, the point of impact, as well as an optimal vehicle height for the collision are determined based on the sensed information, such that the impact between the object and the vehicle occurs in a portion of the vehicle which has greater reinforcement.
