An embodiment provides a method for cleaning a sample cell of a turbidimeter, including: introducing an apparatus comprising a cleaning component into the sample cell, wherein upon introduction of the apparatus into the sample cell a secondary flow path out of the sample cell is opened; engaging a functionality of the apparatus to clean the sample cell; and removing a plurality of particles from the sample cell via the secondary flow path. Turbidimeter cleaning

An embodiment provides a method for measuring at least one characteristic of an aqueous sample, including: introducing an aqueous sample into a measurement device comprising one or more electrodes; oxidizing a transition metal to produce a higher valent metal by applying an electrical potential between an anode and a cathode of the measurement device; oxidizing, using the higher valent metal as a catalyst, a material within the aqueous sample; measuring a characteristic of the aqueous sample based upon the oxidized material, using a measurement device selected from the group consisting of: an electrochemical measurement device and an optical measurement device; and optimizing the electrical potential and at least one reagent delivered to the measurement device based on the measurement of the characteristic. Aqueous sample measurement via oxidizing metal to higher valence

One embodiment provides a system, including: at least two water analyzers, wherein at least one of the at least two water analyzers is positioned upstream of a purification apparatus and wherein at least another of the at least two water analyzers is positioned downstream of the purification apparatus; at least one processor; and a memory device that stores instructions executable by the processor to: receive water analysis data from the at least two water analyzers, wherein the water analysis data comprises information related to membrane integrity; identify an algorithm for calculating membrane integrity based upon received data corresponding to system attributes; and calculate, using the identified algorithm, the membrane integrity based upon the received water analysis data. Membrane integrity monitoring in water treatment

Various turbidimeters are described that can detect light directly in a substantially circular, e.g., encompassing, manner such that an increased amount of scattered light from a sample vial may be detected by a light detector, e.g., a photodiode or photodiode array. In an embodiment, a substantially circular photodiode array is provided to directly detect scattered light in an arc about the sample vial. In other embodiments, light guides are provided in an arc element that guides light to a detector or detectors. Other aspects are described and claimed.
