A combined fuse holder and shunt has a shunt integrated into a one-piece assembly between a fuse holder and a circuit connector. The housing for the connectors is made in two halves that are heat staked together after the connectors are inserted therein. Slots and ribs in the housing retain the connectors therein without requiring supplemental fasteners.

A power distribution backplane includes a pair of metal panels bonded to opposite sides of a dielectric spacer. One panel is for power and the other for ground, and each is painted a different color. Connectors are provided on each panel in connector areas, with some connectors being accessible from both sides of each panel, and busbars extend out from one end of each panel.

A telecommunications power distribution circuit board carries a fuse holder for a plurality of GMT fuses through which power is supplied to connectors on a terminal block. Power is supplied to the fuses through a distribution circuit on the board by way of bullet connectors that are attached to the circuit board and plug into holes in a power supply bus bar.

A modular DC distribution unit including a block assembly configured to be plugged or inserted into a backing panel such that no tools are necessary. Circuit breaker modules and fuse modules which are to be inserted into the block assembly are constructed to be interchangeably located in the block assembly, without the need of any tools. The fuse module being a two part device having an interior assembly carrying the fuse and an outer carrier into which the interior assembly is inserted. The outer carrier of the fuse module also having a replacement fuse carrier configured to carry a replacement fuse. The module DC distribution unit also including a shunt module to output a shunt current to a monitoring location.
