A novel retractable cord reel is disclosed. The retractable cord reel may have a rotating rotatable guide configured to adapt to an expandable wire coil that changes direction within the cord reel. The retractable cord reel may have splices between wire segments that are formed by electrical connectors that are sealed from the environment with an adhesive.

To improve tracking, an exercise treadmill is provided with a frame including molded plastic pulleys, having an integral gear belt sprocket, an endless belt extending around the pulleys and a motor operatively connected to the rear pulley to drive the belt. A retractable reel assembly comprises double tear drop shaped housing, a spool disposed in the housing and journaled for rotation about an axis, the spool and housing defining a plurality of chambers within the housing around the axis. The spool and housing define a cable storage chamber with a second length of cable retractably stored therein and a cable expansion chamber with a length of cable stored therein, a spring chamber and a ratchet chamber. The housing also has a spring takeup compartment and cable adjustment compartment located on a second parallel axis. A constant force spring extends from the spring storage chamber to the spring takeup compartment to urge the spool to rotate in a cable retracting direction.

An armrest telephone assembly comprises an armrest unit and a telephone handset. The armrest unit includes an upper side and a lower side, and the armrest unit has a release mechanism mounted therein. The telephone handset includes a latching mechanism for releasably mounting the handset to the lower side of the armrest unit. The release mechanism of the armrest unit is mechanically linked to the latching mechanism of the handset such that the latching mechanism releases the handset from the lower side of the armrest unit in response to actuation of the release mechanism.
