A system for dependably supplying stacks of labels to a high speed labeling machine. The system includes four primary parts. A plurality of cartridges for carrying stacks of labels, each of the cartridges has a release mechanism at the lower end of the cartridge. A carousel for carrying the cartridges in a vertical orientation with release mechanism of the cartridges directed downward. An arcuate chute having a centerpoint of the arcuate pathway defined by the chute. The upper port of the chute is situated in the system to receive the release mechanism of the cartridges carried on the carousel. A retractable paddle carried on a first end of a lever arm, the lever arm having a pivot mount in common with the centerpoint of the arcuate chute, and a counterweight at a second end of the lever arm. The carousel includes a vertical movement to sequentially lower each of the cartridges into contact with the upper port of the chute and release any stack of labels therein onto the retractable paddle. A method is also disclosed.

Rotary magazine system for labeler

A rotary transfer device for placing and feeding articles includes a main rotating body, a motor coupled to the main rotating body, a center gear, a planetary gear, an article transfer mechanism and a servo motor. The rotating drive body motor rotates the main rotating body about an axis. The center gear continuously rotates about the axis. The planetary gear rotates with the main rotating body and is in rotational communication with the center gear. The article transfer mechanism rotates with the planetary gear and has at least one apex position of travel. The servo motor is in communication with the center gear and varies the continuous rotational velocity of the center gear to vary rotational velocity of the planetary gear.

Rotary electronic profile placer

An improved valve, responsive to the loss of coolant under pressure in a diesel engine or the like, to open and allow fluid flow downstream with a consequent loss in fluid pressure, which is recognized by a pressure sensitive fuel valve supplying fuel flow to the engine. The coolant loss valve includes a three-part housing having the periphery of an elastomeric rolling diaphragm trapped between two housing parts and forming a coolant chamber. A spring-loaded piston and pin assembly transmit diaphragm movement, the pin forming a valve controlling fluid flow through a die cast aluminum head structure which is the third part of the housing. A stainless steel pin is used for corrosion resistance and is supported for axial movement in a dual quad ring seal and sleeve structure.

Coolant loss valve for engine protective system

A drain assembly uses a valve body with a drain passage and a vent passage in order to provide self-venting drainage of a collection bowl mounted to a filter unit. The valve body cooperates with a seal such that the drain passage is opened before the vent passage, thereby insuring proper operation of the passages. Additionally, the valve body draws air into a cavity within the seal, thereby inherently clearing an upper vent port of fluid prior to opening of a vent port disposed at the upper end of the vent passage.

Self-venting drain assembly

A filter assembly and associated filter unit includes a repelling-action filter media for use in vacuum or suction side fuel filter applications. In particular, the filter unit is a screw on unit with centrally located threads at opposite ends of the filter unit and with a specifically designed end cap allowing use of the filter unit with a dual zone collection bowl normally used for coalescing pressure side filter applications. The end cap includes holes which allow use of both of the collection zones in spite of the normal isolation between the collection zones.

Repelling-action filter unit and assembly

A filter assembly characterized by an electric heater assembly having a heater coil disposed in an inlet flow path to filter media and carried within the filter media. The electric heater assembly also includes a thermostat with the inlet portion of the flow path for sensing fuel temperature immediately prior to passing into the filter media.
