A glide, preferably self retaining, for the lower end of each rear leg of a walker. The device substantially reduces forward drag or resistance to walker sliding movement over a support substrate such as carpet, hard floors, concrete, ground and like, while simultaneously increasing resistance to side ways or lateral slippage. The device includes a stationary or fixed member which engages with and receives support from each walker leg lower end and includes a support shaft orientated at an acute angle of preferably about fifteen degrees (15.degree.) to the central axis of the leg. A ground engaging member is held on the support shaft for rotation only and has a lower exterior contoured ground engaging surface which, in combination with the acute angle, makes contact with the support substrate laterally from the central axis of the leg.

Walker glide

A self-retaining glide for the lower end of each leg of a walker. Preferably installed onto each rear leg of the walker, the device decreases forward drag while substantially increasing resistance to sideways or lateral movement by providing a plurality of downwardly facing or extending parallel ground, floor and carpet engaging fins. These fins are a molded part of an elongated main member which also includes one and preferably two spaced apart tubular supports for retaining the device in proper position on the leg lower end. In the preferred embodiment, the combination of snugly fitting tubular supports on the leg and resilient flexing of a semi-rigid central portion of the main member from a flat to a U-shape securely maintains the fins in a fore/aft orientation with respect to the walker after proper installation.

An adapter consists of a more or less cylindrical body having a rear outer portion and a front inner portion, projections (or other suitable coupling means) on the rear outer portion for effecting the coupling to an automatic adjusting device, and at least three different recessed configurations located at different depths within the body's front inner portion for mating respectively to at least the three most common types of residential thermostat knobs. The most recessed configuration receives the smallest such knob, which is of the 'lever' type. The middle configuration is a circular ring of inwardly projecting teeth for engaging the intermediate size 'serrated' type of knob. The least recessed configuration is of an internal bevelled shape for receiving the largest such knob, namely the 'bevel' knob. These various recessed configurations are so located and dimensioned with respect to the body of the adaptor to allow each type of knob to reach and mate with its corresponding recessed configuration.

A simulated exercise apparatus toy having a housing with a seat portion, handlebars, rotatable simulated pedals and a simulated control panel with a window. A manually operated crank is provided with gear members within the housing rotating the pedals and simultaneously rotating a drum member with the indicia thereon appearing within the window of the simulated control panel to simulate an exercise function, such as respiration, or the like. Internal to the housing, one of the pedals is provided with first and second concentric bevel gears, one for engaging the bevel gear operated by the crank, and the second engaging a bevel gear operating the drum member.

A toy spa (10) is provided with water (56) and an aerating manifold (18) in the base (16) of the spa. Pressurized air is provided to the manifold via a bellows pump and passes through the water from openings (20) in the manifold. To reduce the surge effect of the bellows pump an expandable reservoir means (40) is provided between the bellows pump and the aerating manifold (18). Air is pumped from the bellows pump directly into the expandable reservoir through a one way valve (32) moved by the pressurized air. Air exits from the expanded reservoir via a restricted opening (44) which enables the pressurized air to be first stored within the expandable reservoir and to then be delivered to the manifold in a continuous, even manner.

Manually actuable aerating device for doll's spa

A cover assembly for an attic fan or the like permanently mounted in a wall or ceiling is provided which permits quick, easy covering of the fan opening when the fan is not in use during wintertime. The cover assembly is provided with heat insulation and a peripheral seal so that heat loss through the fan opening is minimized. In preferred forms, the cover assembly includes an insulated shell having a circumscribing lip which is adapted for face-to-face mounting adjacent the rim or flange of the fan assembly; a plurality of spring clips are employed for interconnecting the shell lip and fan rim for assuring a tight covering fit over the fan opening.
