A foldable stroller is provided for transporting a child. The stroller has a seat unit including a rigid panel-like seat bottom and back joined together with a collapsible frame assembly. A control hub is provided to enable a user to release the back and then move the back with one hand from its normal upright position forwardly toward the seat bottom to collapse the seat unit and frame into a compact folded stroller.

A tree holder, suitable for holding the trunk of a cut-off tree in an upright attitude includes a cup into which the lower end of the trunk is placed, the cup having a lip from which a skirt extends downwardly and outwardly. The skirt has the shape of a frustrum of a cone. Three legs are slidably attached to the skirt on its inside, and each leg can be slid toward and away from the vertex of the cone independently. Each leg is slid upwardly with respect to the skirt until the upper end of the leg is in firm contact with the trunk of the tree. At that point, the skirt and the leg are drawn together by tightening a threaded fastener, thereby clamping the leg to the skirt. The tree holder is notable for its simplicity of design and for its ability to accommodate asymmetric and crooked tree trunks.

An infant restraint device is provided for securing and supporting an infant inside a motor vehicle. The device includes a shell assembly having upper and lower shell portions pivotally coupled together. The upper shell portion can be positioned in either a first generally planar orientation or in a second angular orientation with respect to the lower shell portion. A locking mechanism is provided for securing the upper and lower shell portions together in either the first or second orientations. In the first generally planar orientation, the device provides a car bed for the infant. In the second angular orientation, the device provides a standard rear-facing infant seat. A collapsible lower support surface provides a seat for the infant when the device is in the angular orientation. The lower support surface bends along a flexible portion when the upper shell portion of the device moves to the planar orientation to provide a generally planar support surface for the infant. The infant is held in position within the device by a lower strap and first and second shoulder straps. A slide mechanism is provided to permit lateral movement of the first and second shoulder straps with respect to the shell assembly without misaligning or tangling the shoulder straps. An adjustment strap is provided for simultaneously adjusting the position of the lower strap and the first and second shoulder straps after the infant is situated inside the shell assembly.

Convertible infant restraint device

A convertible carseat/stroller is of the type having a molded plastic shell with lower door panels in the shell and a wheel assembly includes front and rear legs pivotally connected to a common support member within the shell and extensible between a downwardly divergent stroller position beneath the shell and upper retracted position within the shell under the control of a manual release member which is slidable along the support member for the wheel assembly. A handle unit is telescopically mounted with respect to the support member and is retractable into the shell when converted into a carseat. The door panels on the bottom of the shell follow movement of the wheel assembly so as to open in extending the wheel assembly between the shell for use as a stroller and will return to a closed position when the wheel assembly is retracted into the shell.

A restraint device is provided for securing and supporting an infant. The device includes a shell assembly formed to include a chamber sized to receive the infant. The shell assembly includes first and second spaced apart side walls and a generally rigid end wall defining a boundary of the chamber. In one embodiment, the rigid end wall includes a yieldable section movable between a fixed first position and a yielded second position in response to a force acting against the yieldable section. In another embodiment, the restraint device includes an upper shell portion coupled to a lower shell portion and a foldable seat situated inside the lower shell portion to provide means for supporting a lower portion of an infant.

An infant car bed for a vehicle is provided which is particularly suitable for the transport of premature or physically disabled infants. The car bed includes an 'L' shaped base member adapted to hold an apnea monitor and secured by a vehicle seat belt on a forward facing or rearward facing seat such that the base of the 'L' shaped base member rests upon the seat and the vertical leg portion of the 'L' shaped base member is proximate the back of the seat. A bed member having a webbed top cover is povitally secured to the upper portion of the vertical leg portion of the base member at a point above the center of gravity of the bed member.

Reversable adjustable wrench

The subject invention relates to the art of adjustable wrenches. The adjustable wrench of this invention is particularly suited for the gripping of hex head fasteners. The adjustable wrench has a handle portion and a head portion. The head portion has two downwardly extending jaws. One jaw is stationery, the other being moveable. The moveable jaw moves in an elongated slot which is integral with the head portion. The moveable jaw and the elongated slot incorporate opposing interlocking surfaces which cooperate in such a manner as to support the moveable jaw during usage. The moveable jaw is connected to an adjusting means which may be an adjusting screw and an adjusting nut. The adjusting means controls the fixed relationship between the moveable jaw and the fixed jaw. In the embodiment which utilizes an adjusting screw its movement and hence the movement of the moveable jaw is controlled by the rotation of an adjusting nut. The assembly of the moveable jaw into the head portion may be effected through the aperture which contains the adjusting nut. The moveable head, adjusting screw and adjusting nut are fully supported in the head portion. The adjustable wrench of this invention is reversible and may be used in tight quarters. In the preferred embodiment the jaws of the adjustable wrench have 120 degree angled faces.

Juvenile walker

The subject invention comprises a foldable portable chair which has a seat section and a support section. In the preferred embodiment the seat section is a triangular flexible web which is attached to the upper portions of the support section. The support section is made up of a first and second V shaped supports. These V shaped supports are each formed from two arms which are pivotally connected to each other. The V shaped supports are nested one in each other. The apexes of the V shaped supports are oriented opposite to each other. Lastly the V shaped supports are also interconnected to each other by support means to limit the travel of the V shaped supports and their respective arms in relation to each other. The chair of this invention is suitable for both juvenile and adult usage.

This invention is concerned with a portable juvenile walker which may also function as a rocker. The walker has a seat portion. A tray may be associated with the seat portion. The seat portion is connected to a base frame which is substantially rectangular. The base frame is further hollow and as a cross section which is generally U shaped. A plurality of U shaped support bars are pivotally connected to the base frame and are of such a size that they can nest inside the bottom side of the base frame. Each of the U shaped support bars incorporates a plurality of wheels or casters. The terminal ends of the U shaped support bars are pivotally connected to the base frame. Each of the U shaped support bars is associated with a latch means whereby, the U shaped support bars can be locked into a plurality of positions. The bottom edges of the base frame may be planar or arcuate such that the composite device can function as a seat, or a rocker when the base frame engages the floor.
