Apparatus and methods that employ divider walls that are configured for insertion and proper positioning within a cavity of an information handling system chassis enclosure in a mechanically non-interfering manner prior to securement of the divider wall in a fixed position within the cavity. A divider wall may be provided that is shorter than the height of a corresponding chassis enclosure cavity to allow the divider wall to be freely inserted and fixed in position within the chassis cavity in perpendicular relationship between two opposing cavity interior surfaces without any resulting compressive forces being applied to the respective ends of the divider wall by the opposing interior surfaces of the chassis enclosure cavity.

Divider walls for information handling system chassis enclosures

A connector includes a first layer having first and second communication channels, and a ground channel. The first and second communication channels form a first differential pair and transmit a differential signal. The ground channel separates the first differential pair from a next differential pair within the first layer. A surface of the ground channel nearest the first and second communication channels is selectively roughened to a particular roughness level to dampen crosstalk between the first differential pair and the next differential pair to a particular crosstalk level.

A locking mechanism includes a latch, a handle, a first link, and a second link. The latch to engage with a recess of a server rack chassis, and to lock an adaptor assembly within the server rack chassis. The handle is connected to the latch, and engages and disengages the latch with the recess. The first link includes a first stub. The first link puts the first stub in an up position in response to the handle being in a down position, and puts the first stab in a down position in response to the handle being in an up position. The second link includes a second stub. The second link puts the second stub in a down position in response to the handle being in the down position, and puts the second stub in an up position in response to the handle being in the up position.

Locking mechanism for adaptor assembly of a server rack chassis

A locking mechanism includes a latch, a handle, a first link, and a second link. The latch to engage with a recess of a server rack chassis, and to lock an adaptor assembly within the server rack chassis. The handle is connected to the latch, and engages and disengages the latch with the recess. The first link includes a first stub. The first link puts the first stub in an up position in response to the handle being in a down position, and puts the first stub in a down position in response to the handle being in an up position. The second link includes a second stub. The second link puts the second stub in a down position in response to the handle being in the down position, and puts the second stub in an up position in response to the handle being in the up position.

A latch apparatus includes a first portion having a first latch member maintained in a latched position by a first and a second resilient member. A second portion includes a second latch member maintained in a latched position by only the second resilient member. The second portion is movable both simultaneously with and independently of the first portion. An actuator is connected to move the first and second portions simultaneously.

Method to prevent access cover actuation during shock load

An electrical coupler mating system includes a chassis having a plurality of walls, wherein a chassis housing is defined between the plurality of walls. At least one of the plurality of walls defines a first guide channel and houses a cam member that is located adjacent the first guide channel. A first electrical coupler is located in the chassis housing. An enclosure includes a second electrical coupler and a cam follower that is moveably coupled to the enclosure, wherein with the cam follower located in the first guide channel, the second electrical coupler is aligned with the first electrical coupler and the movement of the cam follower mates the first electrical coupler and the second electrical coupler.

Electrical coupler mating system

A rotating control panel system includes a base. A control panel is coupled to the base by a coupling. The coupling includes a pivot axis having an elongated pivot aperture and a pivot member located in the elongated pivot aperture. The pivot member is operable to rotate relative to the elongated pivot aperture and translate relative to the elongated pivot aperture. The coupling also includes a translation cam having an arcuate translation channel and a translation member located in the arcuate translation channel. In response to the control panel being rotated relative to the base, the pivot member rotates relative to the elongated pivot aperture, and the translation member moves relative to a first portion of the arcuate translation channel to cause the pivot member to translate relative to the elongated pivot aperture in a first direction in order to translate the control panel relative to the base in the first direction, and then moves relative to a second portion of the arcuate translation channel to cause the pivot member to translate relative to the elongated pivot aperture in a second direction in order to translate the control panel relative to the base in the second direction, wherein the second direction is opposite the first direction.
