A blindmate interconnect coaxial connector includes a center conductor, a thermally-conductive dielectric surrounding the center conductor, and an outer tubular conductor surrounding the dielectric. The dielectric transfers heat from the center conductor to the outer conductor, and the outer conductor includes heat transfer fins to radiate such heat. The center conductor is formed by first and second halves which mate within the axial bore of the dielectric. The outer conductor is formed of two mating sections. The center conductor and surrounding dielectric are inserted within the first mating section, and the second mating section is then mated with the first section to complete the assembly of the connector.

An apparatus is provided for electrically coupling an end of a linear conductor to a surface conductor. The apparatus includes a housing for receiving the linear conductor end. The housing includes a channel having a channel axis that is non-collinear with respect to the linear conductor axis. The apparatus further includes a conductive member movably disposed within the channel of the housing to move along the channel axis. The conductive member has a first end electrically coupled to the linear conductor end and a second end to electrically couple the conductive member to the surface conductor. The apparatus still further includes a biasing member in mechanical communication with the conductive member to bias the conductive member in electrical contact with the surface conductor. Apparatus for electrically coupling a linear conductor to a surface conductor and related method

A coaxial transmission medium connector is provided which includes an outer conductor portion for electrically coupling to the outer conductor of a coaxial transmission medium. The outer conductor portion includes a base portion, a plurality of cantilevered beams, and a plurality of slots extending about a longitudinal axis. Each of the cantilevered beams is coupled to the base portion at a transition portion and terminates at a distal end. A center conductor portion is disposed within the central bore of the outer conductor portion for electrically coupling to the inner conductor of the coaxial transmission medium.
