A phone and system is disclosed which includes a programmed button(s) that initiates a telephone call from the phone to a second phone. In some embodiments, the phone may be a toy or instructional equipment configured to provide for example, children a device to learn how to converse over a telephone call with trusted parties. The phone may initiate a phone call request when a programmed button is pressed by connecting with a computing device that has a wireless local area network (LAN) transceiver and a connection to the telephone network (for example, a smartphone, a tablet, or a wearable device). The phone call request may then be re-routed through the telephone network to the second phone being called and communication may occur between the two phones through the intermediary device. Trusted and restricted communication may thus occur between parents/grandparents and children.

An electrical homopolar capacitor generator includes a set of stacked dielectric plates and conductive plates arranged in a magnetic field, with at least one of the dielectric plates is rotated relative to the remainder of the plates to generate an electrical output charge between the conductive plates. One version of the generator employs flat circular disks with an inner dielectric disk rotated relative to the others. The inner disk is placed between a pair of electrically conductive plates, which in turn are placed between a pair of first and second dielectric plates which are in a fixed relationship to the conductive plates. A second embodiment utilizes concentric cylinders in a similar arrangement to the stacked circular disk embodiment, with relative rotation of an inner dielectric being effected along a common axis for all of the cylindrical plates.

Homopolar generator

The transition interconnects microstrip transmission lines whose finite-width conductors are formed on the upper surface and whose ground planes are formed on the under surface of a ceramic substrate. A patternable metallizable multilayer thick film dielectric is applied to the under surface of the ceramic substrate. The transition comprises first and second vias which penetrate the ceramic substrate inside and outside a hermetic enclosure. The upper ends of the vias are connected to the finite-width transmission line conductors, and the lower ends of the vias are interconnected by a finite-width conductor formed on the under surface of the substrate. The lower conductor then forms a transmission line of either a microstrip or coplanar nature with a ground plane available on the underside of the assembly. The thick film dielectric facilitates sealing, and attachment of a metal base plate. All steps are performed using thick film processing.

A self-erecting shelter having a top, sides and floor made of a one-piece fabric envelope with a built-in armature made from a single and continuous length of steel wire coiled into two loops. The entire structure can be folded, twisted and bound into a flat circular package for transportation and storage. When released, the collapsed structure instantaneously springs back into a complete and fully erected shelter.

Self-erecting shelter

A blow molded plastic bottle has a reinforced plastic bottom with a concave central portion and a bottom rim portion. A solid depending rib, formed at the pinch off seam, extends across the concave portion, and depending hollow ribs, formed in the concave portion at ninety degress to the solid rib, extend radially to the bottom rim portion. The hollow rims effectively reduce the depth of the bottom rim intermediate the seam junctions to reduce bulging of the concave base thereby preventing instability.

The invention is concerned with an apparatus for use in perfecting a golfer's stroke by aiding the golfer in preventing undesirable head movement. The apparatus includes a headpiece with a visor to which a bracket is mounted. A retaining pin is inserted into the bracket and is connected to the bracket by a cord which is of a length sufficient to allow the pin to be removed from the headpiece, inserted into the ground in front of the golfer and positioned so that the cord is in a taut condition, thus restraining the head of the golfer.

Golf swing training apparatus

A dart board assembly for use in an electronic dart game. The assembly includes an electrically insulative dart board for catching and releasably holding darts. The dart board includes a spider defining a bull's -eye and a plurality of scoring radials extending from the bull's -eye. The assembly further includes an electrically insulative sensor board positioned adjacent to and aligned with the dart board. The sensor board includes a number of electrically conductive detectors with one detector being positioned in alignment with each of the scoring radials in the bull's-eye. The sensor board also includes an electrically conductive shield surrounding each of the detectors and electrically insulated from each of them. The shield is grounded to prevent cross talk between the detectors. A method of using the dart board assembly of the present invention is also disclosed.
