Solvent-based inkjet ink formulations

This disclosure relates to compounds of formula (I), as well as related ink compositions and printing methods: In formula (I), L, X, R, and Rare defined in the specification.

Urethane compounds

This disclosure relates to an ink composition (e.g., a hot melt ink composition or a radiation curable ink composition) that has a relatively low conductivity. This disclosure also relates to a continuous printing process using such a composition and a product containing such a composition.

Ink compositions

This disclosure includes a hot melt ink composition that includes at least one wax having a freezing point of from about 20&#xb0; C. to about 45&#xb0; C. and a melting point of at least about 35&#xb0; C., and at least one colorant. The composition includes at least about 50 wt % of the at least one wax. This disclosure also relates to a printing process using such a composition and a product containing such a composition.

Inkjet ink formulations

A printing method includes printing an ultraviolet light curable jettable ink including a colorant, a photoinitiating system, and cationic reagent onto a substrate provide a marking, and exposing the marking to ultraviolet radiation after at least two second. The ultraviolet light curable inkjet ink having Brookfield viscosity of between about 1 and 50 centipoise at printing temperature, and between about 170 and 500 centipoise at a shear rate of 20 Sand at a temperature of about 20&#xb0; C.

Jettable ink

Radiation-curable ink compositions and methods of printing including the compositions are disclosed. In some embodiments, a radiation-curable hot melt ink composition includes a colorant, a polymerizable monomer, and a photoinitiating system. The photoinitiating system can include 0.5-1.5% by weight of an aromatic ketone photoinitiator, 2-10% by weight of an amine synergist, 3-8% by weight of an alpha-cleavage type photoinitiator, and 0.5-1.5% by weight of a photosensitizer.

Radiation-curable inks

A marking composition includes a polymerizable first material that comprises silicon and a second material capable of extending polymeric chains of the first material, wherein the marking composition is capable of undergoing a change that can be detected optically when the composition is contacted with energy.
