A cavity back driver has a club head body and a hosel. The club head body has a body shell and a substantially flat front face. The body shell has a generally arcuate lower flange and a generally curvilinear upper flange. The lower flange has a flattened portion generally midway therein. The face is canted from a plane normal to the flattened portion by a selected angle. Each of the lower flange and the upper flange extend rearwardly from the face to form the cavity back. The lower flange extends substantially further rearwardly than the upward flange and tapers inwardly towards a juncture with the upper flange at each end. The extension and tapering of the lower flange is selected so that the center of mass of the club head body is foreweighted and located a selected distance behind the center of the face. The hosel has a shaft portion which receives the shaft of the golf club and a club body portion integrally interconnected to the body shell proximate one juncture of the lower flange and the upper flange.

A rake attachment for combining two conventional rakes to be used as a pick-up rake. The attachment provides two handle clamps, which may be substantially identical, each clamp to be attached to the free end of a rake handle. One rake handle is attached to its clamp to prevent rotational and longitudinal movement of the handle with respect to the clamp. The second handle is fastened to its clamp so as to allow rotation of the rake handle. The two clamps are then detachably and hingeably connected. The second rake may be rotated to bring its tines in opposition with the tines of the first rake, for use as a pick-up rake. Alternately, the second rake may be rotated so as to nest its tines with those of the first rake, allowing use of the apparatus as a conventional rake. Further, the clamps may be detached from one another, allowing each rake to be used for conventional raking.

Rake attachment

A can crusher for axially crushing an empty can of the type having a recessed top and bottom and a pour hole in the top, the pour hole appearing when the tab is removed to empty the can. The present invention comprises first and second members having a hinge at one end for connecting the members in a hinged fashion. One of the members comprises a protrusion arranged for engaging the can bottom, preferably by protruding into the recessed bottom of the can. The other member comprises a pour hole protrusion for engaging the top of the can by protruding into the pour hole. The two protrusions are positioned on the respective members so that the can may be retained between the two members as the can is axially crushed by moving the unhinged ends of the members toward one another.

A cable tensioning device having a frame, a cable-winding drum carried in the frame, ratchet wheel means attached to the drum, a reciprocable handle bearing a driving pawl for advancing the ratchet wheel means, and a holding pawl normally limiting rotation of the drum to a single direction. The ratchet wheel means may comprise a pair of toothed ratchet wheels respectively spaced on either side of the drum, and engageable with a driving pawl having similarly spaced teeth to provide symmetrical driving of the drum. Cable releasing means are shown permitting controlled unwinding of cable from the drum and comprising first spring means urging the holding pawl in toothed engagement with the ratchet wheel means, second preloaded spring means carried by the holding pawl, and index means responsive to movement of the handle to move the second spring means against its preload and thereby to disengage the holding pawl from the ratchet wheel means when the pressure between teeth of the holding pawl and ratchet wheel means is relieved. Details of construction are provided to enable the device to be manufactured from relatively few parts. The cable-winding drum may be manufactured from a pair of stamped plates, each plate having a generally semi-cylindrical shape forming approximately one-half of the cylindrical periphery of the drum, and edges of the plates being rigidly attached to ratchet wheels on either side of the drum.

A clip assembly for wallet-like articles carried upon the person such as notebooks, daily calendars, writing pads and the like, wherein an accessory clip is firmly but detachably affixed to the cover of the article and carries a readily available writing instrument. An auxiliary clip associated therewith serves as a page separator or hold-down for use on the pages within the wallet as well as providing a mount for a slidable nomographic reference member such as a calendar.
