A dispenser system for flowable material includes several interchangeable cartridge assemblies for retaining flowable material, each cartridge assembly including a dispensing piston sealingly and slidably retained within a cylinder, the cylinder having a distal cylinder dispensing end to which a material passing attachment can be sealingly mounted and having a proximal cylinder mounting end, and the piston including a piston head for creating the slidable seal within the cylinder and a piston drive mechanism connected to the piston; a drive structure for engaging and mounting the cartridge assembly and for progressively driving the flowable material out of the cartridge assembly and onto a target surface, the drive structure including a cartridge assembly engagement structure and having a piston drive mechanism which drivably and releasibly engages the piston drive mechanism upon fitting the cylinder to the engagement structure.

An apparatus for throwing and picking up a sphere. A user may employ the apparatus, for example, to throw a sphere. The user may also employ the apparatus to pick up the sphere without requiring any portion of the user come into contact with the sphere. The apparatus may include a claw or gripper for holding the sphere. The claw may have three or more prongs for gripping the sphere and may be attached to a handle. The handle may telescope from a retracted position to an operating position. The handle may include gripping surfaces to aid a user in holding the handle, and a clip for attaching the throwing apparatus to a belt, a hanger or other suitable support.

A flexible flag has a plurality of spiral shaped wire elements carried by the flexible flag body. The wire elements are mounted for rotation about generally parallel axes along a vertical support. Gearing between a motor and the elements rotates the elements. The elements have portions spaced from their end portions offset from the axes of rotation. Those elements are in phase or out of phase relative to one another. Rotation of the elements causes a rippling or waving effect in the flag simulative of a flag waving in the breeze.

A flashlight has a housing with a recess through which is passed a light beam from a light source to a light receiver. The receiver is coupled through a microprocessor to energize the bulb of the flashlight upon interruption of the light beam by an individual's finger or by a mechanical element movable between positions interrupting and not interrupting the light beam.

An article, for example, a toy weapon, has a hand grip provided with a trigger zone. The trigger zone is divided into first and second trigger zone portions forwardly of the hand grip and in a common plane therewith. A light source emits a light beam across the second trigger zone portion for reception by a receiver coupled through a microprocessor to electronic devices affording auditory and/or visual responses to interruption of the visible light beam when an individual pulls a trigger finger back toward the hand grip interrupting the light beam.

A power tool is transformable from a power wrench configuration for use in fastening elements forming a toy vehicle to an engine for the toy vehicle. The power wrench includes a handle having sections pivotally mounted to the housing of the wrench. The handle sections, when used as a wrench, form a single handle for the wrench and are pivoted away from one another to lie along opposite sides of the housing. The handle sections have portions simulative of an actual engine whereby the power wrench may be transformed to a toy engine simulative of an actual full-scale engine. The engine may be disposed in the toy built with the power wrench.

A toy figure has microcapsules affixed to its surface with the microcapsules containing a colored medium, such as a liquid or viscous substance. Upon rupture of the microcapsules, the colored medium is dispersed and is in contrast to the surrounding color to simulate 'bleeding' of the toy figure. The microcapsules can be provided in a patch form such that, upon rupture of substantially all of the microcapsules in a particular patch, such patch can be replaced by a subsequent patch having unruptured microcapsules.
