A technique is provided for post selection location of a mouse pointer icon in a display screen of a computing device. A software tool receives input of the post selection location for the mouse pointer icon. The post selection location defines a default location to move the mouse pointer icon in response to a window action taken on a window displayed in the display screen. In response to the window action in which the mouse pointer icon is initially displayed at a selection location corresponding to the window action, the mouse pointer icon is moved to the post selection location such that the mouse pointer icon is displayed at the post selection location in the display screen.

An identification method and identification device are presented employing radio frequency and acoustic wave communication modes. The identification method includes: receiving at an acoustic wave and radio frequency identification device an acoustic wave signal of a first frequency and a radio frequency signal of a second frequency, where the acoustic wave signal and the radio frequency signal are received from an acoustic wave and radio frequency identification reader, and the first frequency and the second frequency are different frequencies; and responding to the receiving by transmitting at least one of an acoustic wave identification (AWID) or a radio frequency identification (RFID) from the acoustic wave and radio frequency identification device.

Provided are a method, system, and article of manufacture for generating a video output by combining a first video input and a second video input. A first input image is accessed from the first video input and a second input image is accessed from the second video input, wherein the second input image includes a selected element recorded in front of a monochromatic background. An output image that includes the first region and the second region with a gap separating the first region from the second region is generated. The selected element is placed at least over the gap in the output image, wherein predetermined areas of the first region and the second region remain visible in the output image. In response to determining that private data has been requested in the information request, a user is prompted for authorization to release the private information, and private information exchange in smart card commerce is performed by, in response to the user pressing a yes button on the smart card, placing an encrypted copy of the private data in the public area of the smart card for transmission across the communication channel to the external point of sale machine.

Method for enabling a wireless sensor network by mote communication

A method of copying an operating system image in a cluster computing environment that has virtually unlimited scale does not require the strict amounts of control over installation that current methods have, but rather causes operating system images to propagate themselves in a cluster environment, spreading from one node to the next until the entire cluster is installed. Broadcast storms and response storms during installation are avoided by employing a regulation method that automatically delays installation during busy periods. The method does not require any prior knowledge of the number of nodes in the cluster, or the cluster network configuration.
