Various beverage preparation systems and methods are disclosed. The beverage preparation system can include a dispensing unit configured to receive beverage, such as a shot of espresso, from a beverage preparation machine. The dispensing unit can include a dispensing unit with a first end and a second end. The dispensing unit can be rotatable between an upright position and an inverted position. The dispensing unit can be configured to receive the beverage through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the upright position, and can be configured to receive cleansing fluid through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the inverted position. In some embodiments, when the dispensing unit is in an intermediate position between the upright and inverted positions, the dispensing unit is configured to dispense the beverage out of the first end and into a cup or other vessel.

Beverage dispensing systems and methods

Various beverage preparation systems and methods are shown. The beverage preparation system can include a dispensing unit configured to receive beverage, such as a shot of espresso, from a beverage preparation machine. The dispensing unit can include a dispensing unit with a first end and a second end. The dispensing unit can be rotatable between an upright position and an inverted position. The dispensing unit can be configured to receive the beverage through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the upright position, and can be configured to receive cleansing fluid through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the inverted position. In some embodiments, when the dispensing unit is in an intermediate position between the upright and inverted positions, the dispensing unit is configured to dispense the beverage out of the first end and into a cup or other vessel.

Beverage dispensing systems

A holographic optical element (HOE) device is mounted in wireless optical telecommunication system transceiver. The HOE device includes a developed emulsion material having an interference pattern recorded thereon, sandwiched between a pair of elements, such as a pair of clear glass plates. In operation, the HOE device uses the recorded interference pattern to diffract received light rays towards an optical processing unit of the system receiver. A transmitter unit can be positioned at least in part behind the HOE device. An opening in the emulsion material allows a light signal transmitted from the transmitter unit to be substantially unaffected by the recorded interference pattern. The transceiver can also include a spotting scope and an alignment beacon.

A wall mount assembly and apparatus for mounting equipment, such as free space optical (FSO) equipment, to a wall. In one embodiment, the wall mount assembly comprises a pair of arcuate-shaped backer bars that are slid into a pair of upper holes defined in a portion of wallboard and disposed within an interior portion of the wall upon assembly. A wall plate, disposed on the front side of the wall, is coupled to the backer bars using a plurality of fasteners, which pass through the upper holes in the wallboard and lower holes in the wallboard. Upon assembly, the backer bars and wall plate engage the wallboard, thereby distributing a cantilevered load applied to the plate across a large portion of the wallboard. The apparatus further includes a support member coupled to the wall plate that provides a mounting surface to which equipment, such as FSO equipment, may be mounted.

A mount for an electro-optic system, such as an optical transceiver system, is usable to compensate for motion that affects alignment with respect to an optical communication signal. The mount can include inner and outer elements having pivots spaced 90 degrees apart relative to each other. The outer element is fixed, and the inner element is capable of movement. The electro-optic system is pivotally coupled to the inner element. A first set of pivot elements between the inner element and the outer element allows rotation about a first axis, while a second set of pivot elements between the electro-optic system and the inner element allows rotation about a second axis, which may be orthogonal to the first axis.

Apparatus and method to mount electro-optic systems

A highly ergonomic keyboard system provides a unified fingering system for both right and left hands in which the fingering is the same in all key signatures with more natural and comfortable thumb and finger positioning than with conventional piano keys, while maintaining hand span capability comparable to that of the conventional keyboard, i.e. at least one octave, and maintaining the convention method of 'thumb tuck' to play extended scales and arpeggios. Three or more parallel horizontal one-octave rows of monolithic keys in half-tone increments are offset from each other in a uniform parallelogram-shaped tiered array with a note duplication offset which facilitates an octave span. All keys are made to have a uniform optimal complementary shape and are retained in a novel integrated pivot matrix configuration. Note/key association is visually indicated by white, black and (optionally) gray and/or other colors. The tiered array system allows the design to be expanded systematically to any number of rows to implement a desired total pitch range; row offset in the X- Y- and Z-axes along with the note duplication offset are strategically chosen to provide an optimal ergonomic interface between the human hand and the keyboard system. The key shape is enhanced by tapering to a narrowed end width, thus allowing a greater tolerance for a finger or thumb to extend past an edge without interfering with the next adjacent key.

Ergonomic musical instrument keyboard

A video display assembly, suitable for use in an airplane seat, includes a video display and a chamber configured and dimensioned to receive the display when the display is disposed in a first substantially vertical plane. The display is connected to the chamber by an arm having a pair of end portions and a shank portion intermediate the end portions, a proximal one of the end portions being secured to the chamber and a distal other of the end portions being secured to the display. The proximal one arm end portion is pivotable in the first substantially vertical plane relative to the chamber to move the display between a stow orientation wherein the display is stowed in the chamber and an intermediate orientation wherein the display is outside of the chamber. The shank portion is pivotable in a substantially horizontal plane relative to the proximal one arm end portion to move the display between the intermediate orientation and a generally vertical use orientation wherein the display is in a second plane. The distal other arm end portion is pivotable relative to the shank portion to tilt the display between the generally vertical use orientation and a tilted use orientation wherein the display is tilted relative to the second plane for ease of viewing.
