A vehicle seat includes a pivotable backrest, a locking/unlocking mechanism and an adjustment mechanism. The backrest is counterbalanced such that torque produced by the weight of the backrest during pivoting is adjustable by a counter torque.

Foldable vehicle seat

A device for blocking and for releasing an adjusting mechanism having at least two parts which are movable relative to each other is disclosed. The device comprises a blocker configured to be brought at least into a blocking position and a release position relative to the adjusting mechanism. The device further comprises an actuator for changing the position of the blocker between the blocking position and the release position.

An entertainment system for a vehicle has a display configured such that it may be pivoted with respect to a seat. The display may be configured to be pivoted in either a forward direction or a direction opposite the forward direction. The display may be configured to face both the forward direction of travel and a different direction. The display may also be configured to be pivoted in a direction by generating a first torque, and pivoted farther in that direction by generating a second torque of greater force than the first torque. This may be accomplished by using a damper and a spring. The system may include a braking mechanism, may include a frame where the display is visible through a first side and protected by a second side, and may be pivotable along more than one axis.

In the case of a vehicle seat (), in particular rear seat or rear seat bench, having a seat part () and having a backrest () which has a foldover function brought about with an electric drive, the foldover function bringing about a folding over of the backrest () or of a backrest part () relative to the seat part (), an adjustment of the inclination and the folding over are to take place in a simple and convenient manner. This is achieved by the electric drive () having an inclination-adjusting function, it being possible for the adjusting speed of the electric drive () to be changed in such a manner that a different speed can be set in each case for the inclination-adjusting function and for the foldover function.

Automotive seat with a backrest whose position can be electrically adjusted

A vehicle seat with a head rest detachably fastenable at a backrest of the seat and with an integrated video screen, for which the head rest has a storing space. In order to obtain an improved possibility to mount the seat using simple constructive techniques and in order to allow a high security for the passengers of the vehicle in its mounted state, the video screen is fastened in the storing space in a form-locking and/or force-locking manner between the head rest and the backrest. In particular in a first embodiment the video screen is fastened on a support piece of the backrest, which is provided with sleeves for supporting rods of the head rest and with a plug-in contact for the video screen.
