A respiration sensing subsystem includes a band made of stretchable material and a pair of spaced conductors extending along the band in a flexible pattern. A moisture repellant compound is added to the stretchable material of the band between the pair of spaced conductors.

Respiration sensing system

A physiological monitoring system includes a sensor subsystem worn by a person including at least a one sensor. A dock is associated with the sensor subsystem and includes a first connector component electrically connected to the sensor. A portable transmitting unit is received in the dock and includes a transmitter and a connector component removeably mateable with the dock connector component to route sensor data to the transmitter.

Physiological status monitoring system

A PALS compliant routing system includes flexible fabric cabling routed through the webbing of a PALS grid. A first connector or device is coupled to the cabling. Other connectors coupled to the cabling subsystem include a retention mechanism configured to retain them in the channels of the PALS webbing.

A pocket on the garment is configured to store an audio playback device. A device dock is associated with the pocket. The device dock includes an audio connector connectable to the audio playback device. A jack dock is on the garment. The jack dock includes a headphone jack configured to connect to a headphone. An elongated stretchable textile data/power bus is integrated with the garment between the device dock and the jack dock.

Wearable audio cable management system

A suture fastening device for forming a welded suture joint in situ includes a horn,and an anvil,movable relative to each other in a tubular shaft,, and a source of energy,for actuating the horn and anvil within the shaft and relative to each other. Segments,of a suture to be joined are captured within the anvil and contacted by the horn for transfer of energy thereto during welding. A predetermined condition of the welded joint or of the horn and anvil is detected so as to control the delivery of energy to the segments during welding.

Suture fastening device

A single-piece soft tissue fixation device includes an elongated element terminating in a tip at one end and a receptacle at the other end which bond with each other in a welded joint. The device is made of a heat-bondable, biocompatible material that can be ultrasonically or thermally welded. The tip and receptacle of the device can be textured or contoured or otherwise complementarily configured to promote mutual engagement prior to and during bonding. The tip can include a needle or needle-like extension for penetrating tissue. The device may be at least partially resorbable in living tissue.
