A control device may be configured to monitor a network connection. An application running on a client device may send a first network communication destined for a network communicatively connected to the control device. Depending upon whether the client device is authorized to access the network, different global rules may be applied. The first application or a second application running on the client device may send a second network communication. The control device may process the second network communication according to a plurality of stages. Specifically, the control device may extract information associated with the client device from the second network communication and associate user specific rules at a client discrimination stage. The control device may, at a user specific rule stage, access these rules and apply accordingly to the second network communication as governed by user specific provisioning rules.

System and method for providing access control

Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for provisioning network access for a user in order to provide access control to one or more networks with regard to the user. More particularly, a user may be authenticated and, based on a user profile associated with the authenticated user, provisioning rules may be established for the user such that the user's network access to one or more networks may be controlled based upon the user profile associated with the user. In a network utilized by multiple users, the use of access control based on user profiles associated with the users may prevent any one user or users from accessing one or more networks to the exclusion or detriment of other users because each user may be limited to the network resources provisioned to that user based on the user profile associated with the user.

A circuit for controlling the operability of an electrically-operated fuel system, for a vehicle, and particularly for controlling a fuel injection system. The circuitry includes a timing network and a concealed switch the position of which is only known to an authorized operator of the vehicle. When the concealed switch is closed by an authorized person an associated relay is energized and the timing network is inhibited which in turn maintains a main control relay in its enabling position permitting normal operation of the fuel system. In this authorized mode of operation the timing network is essentially maintained in a state where it is not permitted to time-out. When an unauthorized person gains entry to the vehicle, by-passing the ignition switch, the concealed switch is not closed, nor is the associated relay energized. The timing network is thus permitted to time-out and after a presettable period the main control relay is switched to its disabling position interrupting operation of the fuel system and, of course, the vehicle after the unauthorized person has traveled only a relatively short distance thinking he has safely taken the vehicle.

Auto anti-theft device

A solenoid-operated valve is disposed in the fuel line of an automobile to interrupt the fuel flow to the carburetor when the solenoid is deenergized. The solenoid operated valve is maintained in its fuel-open position only when both the automobile ignition switch is closed and a supplementary concealed switch is closed. The circuitry for operating the valve may include either a relay or an electronic device. An indicator light is illuminated during the fuel-closed position of the solenoid operated valve as a reminder that both switches must be operated to permit vehicle movement.
